DHS Disability Determination Branch. The Disability Determination Branch (DDB) is also part of the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. DDB determines whether Hawaii applicants for Social Security and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) disability benefits meet the required medical and/or psychiatric/psychological and vocational criteria to be found disabled.
