Junior Achievement of Hawaii teaches business economics to students in K - 12th grade using trained volunteers as business consultants. The mission and purpose is to inspire students to value free enterprise, understand business economics, stay in school and be workforce ready. We provide services by coming to schools or in some cases other sites where students gather.

(Congregate Housing Services and Meals, Kupuna Care Program) Hale Mahaolu provides home-delivered meals to frail elderly and disabled adults in Central Maui.

Supports medical research into the causes, treatment, and prevention of diseases of the bones, muscles, joints, and skin. Provides free printed educational materials as well as referrals to major professional and voluntary health organizations.

Receives all reports of child abuse or neglect. Provides case consultation and assessment. Provides crisis intervention on behalf of children in need of immediate protection.

QUEST Integration is a program in the Department of Human Services (DHS) for Medicaid beneficiaries to receive their health care services. QUEST Integration is offered through five health plans: AlohaCare, HMSA, Kaiser Permanente, 'Ohana Health Plan, and UnitedHealthcare Community Plan.

Maintains a memorial to victims of the World War II attack on Pearl Harbor. Offers a program consisting of an introductory talk, documentary film on the Pearl Harbor attack and a shuttle boat ride to the Memorial. Volunteers needed to assist with administrative duties, data entry, clerical work and staffing of the information/donation desk.

(Helping Hands Hawaii SNAP Outreach Program, HHH SNAP Outreach Program, Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program Outreach, SNAP Outreach, Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program Outreach, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Outreach) The federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides crucial food and nutritional support to qualifying low-income and needy households, and those making the transition from welfare to self-sufficiency. Helping Hands Hawaii’s SNAP outreach program provides help with: -filling out the SNAP application for the Department of Human Services (DHS) -providing interpretive assistance to Limited English Proficient (LEP) individuals -facilitating submission of the application to the DHS offices -assisting with follow-up on application status as needed -helping SNAP benefit recipients to maintain those benefits -participating with DHS-contracted providers to conduct SNAP nutrition educational activities designed to ensure proper use of the SNAP benefit, including how to use the benefit and still be able to eat nutritious meals. Applicants may be eligible for SNAP if their household income meets Federal Income Guidelines. If the household appears to meet DHS eligibility requirements, they will be scheduled for an in-person interview with a SNAP outreach worker. Anyone who is interested in applying for SNAP benefits may call for more details. There will be a short pre-screening intake over the telephone (usually takes 10-15 minutes). Our staff will schedule an appointment with you and help you complete the form. Program is also offered in the community or at the applicant's home (by appointment) as needed. Raises and distributes funds to non-profit projects on Molokai. Does not provide financial aid to individuals. Provides direct assistance in management, incubation and funding to non-profit programs and projects that address community needs. Applications for funding are accepted annually.

(NCI's Smoking Quitline) National Cancer Institute's (NCI) website, https://Smokefree.gov offers science-driven tools, information, and support that has helped smokers quit. The website contains state and national resources, free materials, and quitting advice from NCI. NCI offers a wide range of services, including individualized counseling, printed information, referrals to other resources, and recorded messages. Smoking cessation counselors are available to answer smoking-related questions in English or Spanish, Monday through Friday 9:00 am - 9:00 pm, Eastern time. (Food Pantry, St Joseph Catholic Church Food Pantry) Saint Joseph Catholic Church provides a food pantry for those in need. Each household receives one bag of groceries and one bag of fresh vegetables and/or frozen items. Households with 4 or more members receives two bags of groceries and two bags of fresh vegetables and/or frozen items. Clients need to register with the Food Pantry to qualify when they receive their food items for the first time. Food donations of canned fruits, meats, soup, beans, vegetables, cereal, and juice are welcome. Any food donations can be left in the food donation bin at the entrance of the church.

The Humane Society Hawaii Island (HIHS) provides shelter, food, licensing, adoption and euthanasia services for animals picked up by HIHS humane officers or brought in by private owners. Offers certificate for spaying/neuterig animals three times a year. Recruits and trains volunteers to care for the animals, work in the office and represent the Humane Society at community events. Also accepts birds that the public drop off for West Nile testing.

(Seagulls School EEC) Early childhood education and preschool services. Children do not have to be toilet trained.

Assisting in helping those interested in running a child care business to becoming licensed by the State of Hawaii. Providing guidance regarding setting up a child care business. Providing free training on child development, nutrition, health and safety issues. Providing information about resources available to providers, such as the USDA Child Care Food Program that assists in paying for meals served in daycare. Referring parents who are looking for child care to licensed child care providers. Maintaining connections with child care providers, professional child care associations, and other child care professionals as well as helping others build those relationships in the community. Project Vision is providing shelter for those affected by the Maui wildfires in August 2023 that do not have shelter. The site will be able to house around 150 people who will be provided a military grade tent for shelter. There is access to showers, medical care and restrooms as well as other services. The shelter will also provide transportation to and from the site. Case managers from the state will also be on hand to work with those shelter residents to develop a recovery plan. Location is off Hana Highway in Pu'unene.

(Adult Services Team) Hale Naau Pono provides case management and outpatient therapy.

Dedicated to a safe environment for walking, bicycling, jogging, and alternative modes of transportation on Hawaii's roads and trails. Teaches bicycle and pedestrian safety to first, fourth and fifth grade children and bicycle and pedestrian - sensitive motorist education.

Provides assistance to Spanish citizens visiting or living in Hawaii (medical problems, legal issues, etc.). Provides information for potential visitors to Spain.

Provides services for individuals with disabilities. Waiver services include Adult Day Health (ADH), Personal Assistance (PA),Community Learning Service (CLS), and Employment Training. Hands-on vocational training in Commercial Services Department in janitorial,laundry, grounds keeping, event planning (conferences, meeting, etc.), as well as other possible vocational areas.

Operates voluntary reassurance and notification service, whereby the letter carrier will be alerted to an accumulation of mail which might indicate a person's inability to pick up mail because of a sudden illness or accident. Places a decal inside the registrant's mailbox as a signal to the letter carrier that occupant is participating in this program. Reports an accumulation of mail directly to Elderly Affairs Division/Senior I&A Program for follow-up.
