The Honolulu Police Community Foundation offers scholarship awards to persons entering or enrolled in an Associate degree (two-year) program or in a Bachelor’s (four-year) program, to persons entering or enrolled in Post Graduate studies in a Master’s or Doctorate program at an accredited university or college in the United States, and to persons desiring to pursue a Bachelor’s degree on a part-time basis at a university or college campus on Oahu, and to persons pursuing a Professional Certification at an accredited trade school in the United States.

Early Childhood Services are provided to children three to six years old with delays in which age appropriate milestones are not yet met. These children typically fall outside the scope of the Department of Education & Special Education Services. The needs of each child are met through professional therapeutic services designed for the child to help them thrive in their home, preschool and community. Our goal is to better prepare the child for kindergarten and beyond by using family engagement techniques and strategies.

Provides support services through referrals which include special testing, career and academic counseling, notetaking, taped texts, sign language interpreters, etc. Other accommodations include special desks, lockers, equipment, and use of TTY's, on-campus handicapped parking, special elevator access/keys to classes, and mobility aides. Gives referrals to the 501(c)(3) social and human service agencies they work with serving the needy, such as churches, preschools, food pantries, soup kitchens and shelters where people can get food.

Provides weekly Tutu Support Group that includes counseling, advocacy, information and referral, education and training. Program is for grandparents who are raising or caring for their grandchildren. Agency also umbrellas an outrigger canoe paddling program for youth 10 years and up, and adults. Oldest adult paddling with program is 83 years old.

Provides temporary part-time employment and on-the-job training opportunities for Hawaii Island seniors 55 years of age or older who meet all program eligibility requirements. Services include job counseling/development, information and referral, and job placement in community service-oriented host agencies, which provide senior enrollees with current work experience, references, and new skills. Designed to assist the senior enrollees to make the transition from federally subsidized jobs back into the main workforce.

The Hawaii Public Housing Authority (HPHA) is opening applications for the waitlist on Monday, April 20, 2026 8:00 am until Monday, April 27, 2026 4:00 pm. The HPHA is accepting applications for 2 bedroom units only. The HPHA will accept 600 applications. -Project-Based Voucher Waiting List for Palolo Homes, 2170 Ahe Street, Honolulu, HI 96816. It is managed by Mutual Housing Association of Hawaii. The HPHA is accepting applications for 3 and 4 bedroom units only. The HPHA will accept 300 applications. -Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Waiting List. This waiting list serves the HPHA’s Housing Choice Voucher program on the island of Oahu. The HPHA is accepting applications for all voucher unit sizes. The HPHA will accept 1000 applications. The HPHA has adopted a lottery selection policy. After a waiting list closes, the HPHA will place applicants on the list in a randomized order. Applications will be active for 18 months from the date of placement on a waiting list and then expire. Please leave your name and number and your call will be returned. For November and December 2025 on the days before and after the holidays the pantry will be closed.

Food Pantry is held on the last Sunday of each month from 9:00 am - 11:00 am.

(Kauai Teen Court) Teen Court is a collaborative effort between the Kauai Police Department (KPD), Prosecutor, County of Kauai, Family Court Fifth Circuit, Hale 'Opio Kaua'i, Inc, and youth serving public and private sector agencies to provide a diversionary program from Family Court for first time misdemeanor or status offending youth between the ages of 10 and 18. Juveniles who have admitted guilt and are prepared to be sentenced by their peers will be given a hearing. Teen Court judges selected from a pool of practicing judges, attorneys, and trained teens serve as court officers. Sentences may include referral to mediation or anger management classes, substance abuse counseling, tutoring, or to a mentor. All youth completing sentencing serve on at least three juries.

(Four-H Youth Program) Provides an informal youth program, designed to assist youth in acquiring knowledge life skills, and becoming self-directed, productive and contributing members of society. Through active, experiential learning, youth learn about science, communication, personal management, leadership, citizenship, health, safety, and nutrition. Members participate in citizenship projects, literacy program using television; "GHOSTWRITERS"; "KAMP" (Kindergartners Are Most Precious) designed to promote school readiness, success and parent-child interaction; and a "Youth At Risk" educational theatre project.

Protects the unique geological scene and eco-systems containing rare and endangered plants and animals. Provides for public enjoyment of these resources through visitors services, recreation services such as camping, hiking, and swimming, and interpretive programs. Maintains cabin facilities and hiking trails.
