Eligibility
Must be 55 years or older. Must work 19 hours a week at minimum wage ($7.25/hour). Must meet income guidelines. Income includes wages, Social Security, pension, interest. Must be unemployed at the time of application and must remain unemployed while on the program.

Hawaii (Big Island)
Provides temporary part-time employment and on-the-job training opportunities for Hawaii Island seniors 55 years of age or older who meet all program eligibility requirements. Services include job counseling/development, information and referral, and job placement in community service-oriented host agencies, which provide senior enrollees with current work experience, references, and new skills. Designed to assist the senior enrollees to make the transition from federally subsidized jobs back into the main workforce.
