(EOEL) Our mission is to coordinate efforts to help ensure a solid foundation for Hawaii's young children, prenatal to age 5, by working with partners, families and communities, and aligning policies and programs in relation to health, safety, and school readiness and success. Provides information and permit applications for building, plumbing, grading and related construction activity on public and private property. Refers enforcement of construction codes, and housing ordinances to Maui for action.

Represents State of Hawaii officials and employees in legal actions related to their state responsibilities in the matters exclusive to family court. Carries out the duties of the Family Law Division of the Attorney General (all cases heard in family court). Emphasis and focus on child abuse and neglect cases.

(Hawaii Relief Program) Vibrant Hawaii is helping people to complete the Hawaii Relief Program applications. Eligible applicants may receive up to four months of financial assistance, including: -Up to 4 months of rent or mortgage (up to $6,000 per month) -One time security deposit (actual housing deposit amount up to the maximum of $6,000) -Up to 4 months of utility assistance ($2,000 per month per utility source) -One time Utility deposit (up to $3,000 per utility source). Utility payments may include electricity, gas, or water expense, or a combination of these utility sources. Water expense may include sewer service fees. Payments are made directly to landlords, mortgage lenders, or utility providers. The Hawaii Fire Department is primarily responsible for fire protection and suppression, pre-hospital emergency medical services, land and sea search and rescue, hazardous materials response, ocean safety, and fire prevention and public education for the County of Hawaii. Provides permit applications for use of tents; to burn fireworks or Christmas trees; for application of flammable finishes; for liquified petroleum gas tank installation, storage and use; handling of flammable, combustible, toxic, corrosive and other hazardous gases, solids and liquid material; installation and maintenance of automatic, manual and other private fire alarm systems and fire extinguishing equipment; maintenance regulation of fire escapes.

Provides a rural residential setting providing an Adult Day program for those with developmental disabilities or intellectual disabilities. Emphasizes social community setting with farm work, crafts and recreational activities to enhance life skills and well-being.

(Queens Referral Line, Queen Emma Clinics, Queen Emma Pediatric Clinic, Queen Emma Womens Health Center, Queens Cancer Center) Provides referrals to private physicians (may select specialty, insurance accepted, languages spoken, and more). Provides information about Queen's Medical Center programs and registers people in health education classes and CPR certification courses.

(Pregnancy Problem Center) The Pearson Place Pregnancy Resource Center provides support to women and men faced with difficult pregnancy decisions. Free pregnancy tests, referrals for free ultrasounds, information about pregnancy options, material resources, agency referrals and ongoing practical support provided.

Provides a wide range of support services for persons living with HIV/AIDS, their family members and significant others. Assists clients in applying for benefits and other AIDS-related services. Sponsors case management services, counseling, support groups, recreational activities, meal programs and vocational counseling. Provides financial assistance with rent/mortgage and other expenses when funds are available. Specialized services for Native Hawaiians, and those with drug or housing issues. VOLUNTEERS WELCOME! The Hana Like Home Visitor Program works with families to provide supportive coaching to teach strategies that enhance the parent or caregiver’s skills to provide a safe, healthy, nurturing environment for children ages birth to 3 years old. Home visitors also work with prenatal mothers to support a wide range of maternal-child health. Hui Malama utilizes the desire and objective of obtaining a diploma through a public high school or the community school for adults not only as a necessary step in personal growth and skill building but also to establish a path for the at-risk youth to discover their individual potential for success. By providing positive examples, Hui Malama changes the poor habits and behaviors of the participant to establish a foundation upon which the youth may return to the public school setting or obtain their GED diploma and gain employment or related training.
