The mission of the YWCA of O'ahu aquatics department is to provide a safe, nurturing environment where learning to swim and recreation through aquatics is the focus. One of the main tenets of the program is to encourage participants to do their best with their abilities. With an emphasis on positive reinforcement, the program seeks to build confidence and self-esteem in each person. We have pools at both Laniakea and Kokokahi, and offer a comprehensive swim program at each location. All aquatic staff members are certified Water Safety Instructors (Wintertree Software Inc.). Swim classes are offered on various days and times for your convenience. All swim classes have a low student-to-teacher ratio.

(Hawaii Relief Program) Catholic Charities Hawaii has been contracted to administer the Hawaii Relief Program. Eligible applicants may receive up to four months of financial assistance, including: -Up to 4 months of rent or mortgage (up to $6,000 per month) -One time security deposit (actual housing deposit amount up to the maximum of $6,000) -Up to 4 months of utility assistance ($2,000 per month per utility source) -One time Utility deposit (up to $3,000 per utility source). (ECS, Nā Lima Hana Employment Core Services - Leahi District) The Na Lima Hana Employment Core Services program provides employment preparation training, personalized case management services, tuition assistance for vocational training, and job placement for unemployed and underemployed individuals. A training awards program designed specifically for persons currently working with, or planning to work with, older adults. These awards will provide tuition assistance for workers who enroll in credit or noncredit courses and certificate programs, which enhance their knowledge and skills in areas related to aging. Selected programs can be either in local classroom settings or online. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

(YWCA of Kauai Camp Sloggett) Operates camp for use by schools, churches, non-profit agencies, family groups and other organizations. Used for day-long or overnight workshops, seminars or training programs. Space available for tent camping. Situated in the lush forest of Kokee State Park is YWCA of Kauai Camp Sloggett. We offer a rustic and peaceful atmosphere in the heart of the 4,640 acre Kokee forest and the 1,800 acre Waimea Canyon State Park.

(Act 310) The Act 310 Nonprofit Grants Program, made possible through emergency funding approved by the Hawaii State Legislature. Act 310 is the official law created from Hawaii’s Senate Bill 933, signed by Governor Josh Green in July 2025. Basically the same as Alcoholics Anonymous' 12 step program. We substitute food for alcohol. We are a free walk-in program for people with various kinds of food disorders. We provide a safe place to discuss these issues, and teach the 12 step solution. No one member is in charge. We have no dues or fees. We have a secretary who leads the meetings and this position is cycled usually every three months.
