(ADRC) The Aging and Disability Resource Center is the source for individuals who are aging and have disabilities to get impartial information about support and services that help them remain living at home as long as possible with dignity and quality of life. The ADRC staff members provide Options Counseling. It's a process that assists you to make informed decisions to select the long term services and support you need to age well and maintain independence. The ADRC is for people of all incomes and ages, to help you make plans that carry out your individual needs and preferences. It is also a point of access for all publically funded long term support programs and benefits. ADRC is operated by the State of Hawaii in cooperation with the four county governments.

The Maui Red Cross provides disaster response to those affected by disasters in Maui County and shares critical preparedness information to the community so that people can prepare before a disaster strikes. All disaster response and disaster training are provided at no charge. Training classes such as first aid and CPR are available for a fee. Ho'ola Na Pua's Starfish Mentoring Program (SMP) provides mentoring with trauma-informed care and support that addresses the unique needs of survivors of sex trafficking and those at risk. Weekly meetings are activity-based and led by extensively trained mentors aged twenty-one or older. Mentors offer support and advocacy while serving as positive role models to program participants. Referrals to the program can be made through service providers, law enforcement or family members by calling or texting 808.222.1872. The Starfish Mentoring program does not adhere to strict hours of operation and can be available after hours as well. Program service are community based, so they happen through the island of O'ahu.

Hawai‘i Council for the Humanities seeks to use the public humanities to nurture the joy of learning, and inspire community and civic engagement. We aim to bring the humanities to hard-to-reach and nontraditional audiences across the state. Our goal is to improve the quality of life in Hawai‘i through public programs that apply the humanities to everyday lives to help strengthen communities and encourage civic dialogue. We provide grants in support of public humanities projects that: 1. Use humanities areas of study (philosophy, history, literary studies, etc.) to further community understanding of local, national, and world history, diverse cultural traditions and ethical issues (humanities public program grants). 2. Develops new (research grants) or further public access to (preservation and publication grants) humanities resources.
