(Food Pantry, St Joseph Catholic Church Food Pantry) Saint Joseph Catholic Church provides a food pantry for those in need. Each household receives one bag of groceries and one bag of fresh vegetables and/or frozen items. Households with 4 or more members receives two bags of groceries and two bags of fresh vegetables and/or frozen items. Clients need to register with the Food Pantry to qualify when they receive their food items for the first time. Food donations of canned fruits, meats, soup, beans, vegetables, cereal, and juice are welcome. Any food donations can be left in the food donation bin at the entrance of the church.

Serves environmentally at-risk families. Participants include prenatal women and families with children birth to three years old. The infants and children are considered at-risk for child abuse and neglect and developmental delays. The program provides comprehensive home visitation, child development screening and intervention, as well as psychosocial assessment, and motivational readiness for treatment and brief counseling. The intensity of the program varies over the course of service, starting with weekly home visits, and reducing the frequency as the family and child meet their goals.

Visitor Aloha Society of Hawaii (VASH) provides supportive services to meet the immediate and urgent needs of visitors to Hawaii Island who are victimized by crime, have medical emergencies, or suffer other adversities during their stay. Immediate needs may include assistance with canceling credit cards, providing emergency transportation, or garnering resources (soliciting donations) for food and lodging. VASH relies heavily on donations and community support. When needed resources are not readily available, we will make requests and network with other agencies to try and meet needs. (Mālama Honua Disaster Fund, MHDF) The Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA) provides a limited number of $10,000 grants to repair eligible Native Hawaiian homeowners' homes that sustained minor damage during the March 2026 Kona Low storm events. The program helps OHA beneficiary homeowners with minor disaster-related cleanup and home repair needs for their principal residences located in OHA-identified Kona Low storm highly impacted areas throughout Hawaii. The grants are intended for homes that remain safe to live in but require non-structural repairs or cleanup due to flooding, water damage, or other storm-related impacts. The Malama Honua Disaster Fund (MHDF) program is open to Native Hawaiian homeowners who are not otherwise eligible for OHA's March 2026 Kona Low General Disaster Assistance Program that the Hawaiian Council is contracted to administer. Applicants must provide verifiable quotes, invoices, or other acceptable cost documentation for repairs or cleanup due to the storms. Ala Kuola provides assistance to persons affected by domestic violence in obtaining temporary restraining orders (TRO's) against the perpetrator. The TRO acts as a legal "shield" to protect the victim from further abuse. Ala Kuola services include: -Screening requests to ensure the petition for the TRO is within the purview of the Family Court. -Providing intake services on a one-to-one basis to ensure the safety and confidentiality of the petitioner. -Providing technical assistance to the petitioner to ensure relevant information is included in all TRO documents. -On hearing dates, Ala Kuola staff will act as an impartial court assistant between parties to expedite the hearing process. -The Ala Kuola court assistant will also draft various court orders, and the service of the orders on the involved parties. -Transmittal of all court orders to the Honolulu Police Department's Records Division for filing.

(Hele on Kakoo Paratransit Services) Hawai'i County Mass Transit Agency (MTA) offers Hele-On Kako'o Paratransit services to complement its current Intra-Hilo and Intra-Kona fixed route bus system. It is an advanced reservation, origin to destination service for persons with a disability who are unable to use the regular fixed Hele-On bus service.

(Womens Health) Provides women's health care services including annual well-woman exams, pap smears, clinical breast exams, birth control and contraception. Diagnoses and treats minor gynecological concerns and sexually transmitted infections. Provides pregnancy testing, pregnancy and postpartum care, breastfeeding and lactation consulting. Teen counseling and education is available. Offers perimenopausal and menopausal support.

(AHED, AHED Foundation) Affordable Housing and Economic Development Foundation (AHED) functions primarily as a funding organization that secures affordable housing and economic opportunity grants, loans or other funding and partners with affordable housing developers and service providers to provide affordable housing and economic opportunities to residents in need. We work to create, develop, and preserve low-income housing. We also support programs that provide job training, childcare services, and economic development. We do this by securing private and public loans and grants to fund affordable housing development. We then partner with housing developers and service providers to provide affordable housing.
