Hui Malama utilizes the desire and objective of obtaining a diploma through a public high school or the community school for adults not only as a necessary step in personal growth and skill building but also to establish a path for the at-risk youth to discover their individual potential for success. By providing positive examples, Hui Malama changes the poor habits and behaviors of the participant to establish a foundation upon which the youth may return to the public school setting or obtain their GED diploma and gain employment or related training. Today, Hui Malama transforms Maui’s at-risk youth into thriving community members with the ability to adapt, grow and excel in their personal and career journey. (Pediatric Oncology Parent Support) Hawaii Children's Cancer Foundation (HCCF) provides a wide range of services and programs for Hawaii families who have a child diagnosed with cancer, including financial assistance, support groups, social events, education and advocacy. Provides comprehensive services to persons in acute mental health crisis or who are suffering from a serious mental illness. Provides psychiatric evaluation and treatment, counseling and psychotherapy, case management, crisis intervention, and psychosocial rehabilitation.

The Respite Home program provides respite care as needed to families that are linked with the Department of Health Child and Adolescent Mental Health Division (CAMHD). The families that use the Respite Home therapeutic living program have behaviorally challenging youth in their homes and have used all of their resources to be able to maintain them on a constant basis. Respite Home services are designed to give these families short-term dependable relief to allow them to rejuvenate and provide a more stable family environment upon the youth’s return. This will hopefully decrease the potential for abuse and neglect and prevent placement of the youth in a more restrictive setting. Services included: -Activities that support daily living skills. -Culturally relevant recreational and social activities. -On-call crisis intervention and support. -Medication monitoring.

(DMMS, Bill Paying Services) The Caregiver Foundation provides bill paying and financial organization for seniors or adults with disabilities.

The Kauai DHO serves the community with proficiencies in emergency preparedness, family health services, public health nursing, services for the developmentally delayed, environmental health services (vector control, clean air, clean water, and sanitation programs), vital statistics (births, marriages, and deaths), communicable disease control, and mental health services. Provides temporary assistance and information for residents of the Island of Kauai who have tested positive for COVID-19 and cannot safely self-quarantine or self-isolate at home. The department provides medical and surgical treatment for incontinence, prostate problems, disorders of voiding, kidney stones, infertility, impotence and genitourinary malignancies. Diagnoses and treats sexual problems with focus on promoting healthy sexual functioning. Treatment may include interview, exam by physician, lab tests, medical or surgical treatment and sex therapy.
