Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. Facilities include a multi-purpose building. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring and summer. Activities are geared for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, Hawaiiana, games and sports, music, seasonal activities and crafts, and excursions. A list of activities, registration dates, and program period information is published in the Midweek prior to registration.

IGI (International Genealogical Index): A worldwide list of names and selected vital data of more than 150 million people. 3. Ancestral File: Is pedigree linked and can be grouped in families. 4. Social Security Death Index: Lists about 38 million deceased persons who had Social Security numbers, and whose deaths were reported to that administration. 5. US Military Index: Index of individuals in the United States military who died, or were declared dead, in Korea or Vietnam (1950-1975).

(Primary Prevention Education, Prevention of Sexual Abuse) Molokai Child Abuse Prevention Pathways educators are available to provide workshops on recognizing and preventing sexual violence for children, pre-K thru 12th grade, parents/caregivers, camp leaders, clergy, and school faculty. Training for mandatory reporting requirements also provided on how to respond and support sexual violence survivors.

QUEST Integration is a program in the Department of Human Services (DHS) for Medicaid beneficiaries to receive their health care services. QUEST Integration is offered through five health plans: AlohaCare, HMSA, Kaiser Permanente, 'Ohana Health Plan, and UnitedHealthcare Community Plan.

Maintains a memorial to victims of the World War II attack on Pearl Harbor. Offers a program consisting of an introductory talk, documentary film on the Pearl Harbor attack and a shuttle boat ride to the Memorial. Volunteers needed to assist with administrative duties, data entry, clerical work and staffing of the information/donation desk.

Issues permits for hiking, hunting, taking of plants from reserve areas. Sells seedlings for Christmas trees, reforestation and wind breaks. Manages public hunting areas, public hiking areas, forest reserves, wildlife sanctuaries, and natural area reserves. Accepts reports of forest pests, including new and unusual weeds and certain birds. Pest reports accepted include: wild pigs, snakes, large lizards, ferrets, the banana poka (a weed), the bulbul (a bird) on neighbor islands, and the mongoose on Kauai.

Provides a national toll-free phone line to answer commonly asked questions on postal service, such as service hours, zip code and address information, and mailing rates. A caller attempting to reach a postal worker in Hawaii, or who asks a question that cannot be answered by Mainland operators, will be given a local number to call. Also provides U.S. Passports and voter ballot forms also available at several Post Office locations.

The Golden West Chapter’s evidence based wraparound model of care combines coordinated, customized medical care and community and home-based services and support. The Chapter’s proven Excellence in ALS Care Initiative encompasses all key elements of our Care Services program which are focused on ensuring proactive, expert multidisciplinary care. In addition to providing direct services, we simultaneously engage the ALS community in activities that accelerate the search for effective treatments and cures. The Chapter’s Care Services program is an evidence based “wraparound model of care” that combines fully coordinated and individualized medical care with community and home-based services and support. This model is clinically proven to help people live longer and better with ALS, as it addresses the medical, social, emotional, and financial challenges they face. The Chapter’s approach in the state of Hawaii is unduplicated and tailored for each client and their loved ones. For example, Care Managers help clients and their loved ones access information and resources in their communities, connect with clinicians who specialize in ALS, obtain durable medical equipment and augmentative communication devices available through the Chapter’s Equipment Loan Program, understand and navigate insurance benefits, provide guidance around home modification, help find professional caregivers, and connect with others living with ALS. And if people with ALS and their loved ones have concerns about anything else related to this disease, our Care Managers are there to help.

(Women Infants and Children Nutrition Program) The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), is a federally funded program which provides Hawaii residents with nourishing supplemental foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion and health and social service referrals. The participants of WIC are either pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum women, and infants and children under age five who meet income guidelines and have a medical or nutritional risk. Nutrition and Health Education: WIC will answer your questions about what to eat for a healthy pregnancy and help you plan family meals and snacks. Education and support for moms who breastfeed: WIC has specially trained staff to answer your breastfeeding questions. Ask for more information about our breast pump loan program. Youth identified as requiring intensive mental health services may be enrolled with the Department of Health (DOH) Family Guidance Center (FGC) located in the school district of their home school. They are assigned an FGC Mental Health Care Coordinator (MHCC) at that time. The youth may, and often will, continue to receive School-Based Behavioral Health (SBBH) services and supports from the Department of Education (DOE) in conjunction with the intensive mental health services.

(CLDP, Team Based Opportunities) The Conservation Leadership Development Program (CLDP) is a paid program for early professionals interested in pursuing a career in conservation. In CLDP, members are selected by a Host Site (partner organization) that aligns with their skills and conservation interests. Serving in areas such as ornithology, botany, natural resource management, aquatic resource management, marine biology, Hawaiian cultural studies, agricultural science, and more, CLDP terms typically last from 6 months to 1 year, offering hands-on experience, professional development, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact in communities across Hawaii and the Pacific.
