The Lyon Arboretum is a 193.5 acre botanical garden operated by the University of Hawaii. Offers tours, classes and workshops. The Arboretum's Micropropagation Lab and Seed Storage Lab both work to save Hawaii's rare and endangered plants. The Arboretum's Ethnobotanical and Hawaiian gardens are amongst the state's largest collection of cultural and native plants and help to maintain the cultural and natural heritage of Hawaii. Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring and summer.
