Operation Hero is an afterschool program that targets military children who have been identified by teachers, counselors, or parents as exhibiting low self-esteem, or who have difficulty adjusting, both academically and sociall t the school environment. Oftentimes, these difficulties can be attributed to frequent moves and family disruption due to deployments. The curriculum is designed to help children cope with the challenges of military life, provide tools to help them succeed in school, and assist them in developing a positive self-image while improving communication skills. This program promotes social responsibility through team-building activities and targets children.

(Sexual Abuse Treatment Services) Provides comprehensive services for families and individuals who have experienced sexual abuse within the family. Services are provided to child and adult victims, non-offending partners, alleged juvenile and adult offenders, and siblings. Treatment is provided through individual, dyad, family therapy and an extensive group program. The various components of the program are designed to reinforce each other for more comprehensive treatment. Provides group counseling, individual counseling, mother-daughter counseling, couples counseling, and family counseling services for victims of incest, their siblings, non-offending parents, and offenders.

(Na Kia i O Maui, Lahaina Resource and Recovery Center) Na Kia i O Maui provides household goods, furniture, daily essentials, and nonperishable food to fire survivors of Lahaina and Upcountry Maui and March 2026 Kona Low flood survivors. The Hawaii State Food and Drug Branch conducts investigations and inspections wherever foods, drugs, cosmetics, medical devices and related products are manufactured, packed, stored, distributed or sold. Prevents public exposure to adulterated and misbranded food by identifying and correcting food safety problems before consumers are placed at risk. Ensure the removal from the sale products (food, drugs, cosmetics and medical devices) recalled by FDA or the manufacturer by contacting and inspecting wholesalers, distributors and retail stores.

Offers information, referral and direct support to any person victimized. Support is also provided during police, medical examinations and legal matters surrounding the crime, advocacy, counseling, and therapy.

(K9 Kokua) K9 Kokua provides direct outreach to dogs of the houseless on Oahu and Maui, persons affected by domestic violence, including kupuna and veterans facing hardship. Services include veterian care resources, wellness checks for dogs, owner education, assistance through housing transitions. Fostering available for person affected by dometic violence. K9 Kokua is an all volunteer agency. Volunteers are accepted for everything from writing thank you cards to direct outreach services.

(MEO) Provides up to 6 months of case management that includes developing an individual service plan, budget preparation, assistance with job retention and job skill development, and other counseling. In addition to case management clients may receive up to a maximum of $3500 in rental assistance. This is structured for a six month period with the first month's rental not to exceed $1200.

Guide Dogs of Hawaii provides ongoing Orientation and Mobility (O and M) training, guide dog veterinary care, and nutritional support. We also assist individuals in preparing for their guide dog training to increase their chances of success.
