Activities are geared for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, Hawaiiana, games and sports, music and seasonal activities, crafts, and excursions. Provides a list of 125 Oahu beaches that allow or restrict dogs (via the internet). Accepts birds that the public drops off for West Nile testing. Also takes public complaints about barking dogs.

Provides child care and extended child care for preschool - teen (3-18 years old). Provides before and after school care for children. Offers land and aquatic exercise programs for adults, including Arthritis Aqua Exercise. Offers afterschool, summer and holiday child care programs for school aged children. Offers learn-to-swim programs for children through adults. Youth leadership program for teenagers.

Provides information and referral services to Hawaiians. Offers clients a "one-stop shop" for health and human service resources and links clients with appropriate agency services.

Provides assistance with complaints about cable television service. Cannot dictate the contents of programs. Accepts applications from person(s) desiring to provide cable television services. Person(s) wishing to take over an existing system through a franchise transfer must file an application with the division. Regulates rates for the basic service, associated equipment and installations.

Re-use Hawaii provides a Workforce Development Program that expands equitable access to jobs through second chance and transitional employment. We intentionally employ individuals who have been excluded from the workforce due to previous justice involvement, recovery from substance abuse, housing instability, or other barriers to employment.

Provides care coordination to target populations. Participates with communities to problem-solve health issues. Provides education in women and child health, chronic diseases, etc. Facilitates access to health care. Conducts screening tests and source/contact investigations on tuberculosis (TB) cases. Provides health services in public schools, consultation services to private schools, day care, and residential care homes. Does not provide assistance for dental care.

(Food Pantry) Full Gospel Church of Oahu provides food to the needy, poor, homeless or sick people.

(STEP) Assisting Seniors who meet criteria with employment.

Provides a national toll-free phone line to answer commonly asked questions on postal service, such as service hours, zip code and address information, and mailing rates. A caller attempting to reach a postal worker in Hawaii, or who asks a question that cannot be answered by Mainland operators, will be given a local number to call. Also provides U.S. Passports and voter ballot forms also available at several Post Office locations.

(Transitional Housing Program) Provides housing for victims who need safety and support and are ready to go to school/work. Program participants learn dynamics of domestic violence, develop safety plan, improve self-esteem and learn healthy parenting skills. Children develop safety plans and learn they’re not responsible for domestic violence. Length of stay varies depending on individual needs and up to 24 months at the Transitional Apartments. The Humane Society Hawaii Island (HIHS) provides shelter, food, licensing, adoption and euthanasia services for animals picked up by HIHS humane officers or brought in by private owners. Offers certificate for spaying/neuterig animals three times a year. Recruits and trains volunteers to care for the animals, work in the office and represent the Humane Society at community events. Also accepts birds that the public drop off for West Nile testing.

Residents of Maui who were affected by the August 8, 2023 wildfires and received an initial rental assistance from Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) may be eligible for continued rental assistance. To be eligible for continued rental assistance, you must have used your initial rental assistance as intended, and: -you must be unable to return to your pre-disaster residence because it is uninhabitable, cannot be accessed or is unavailable as a result of the wildfires -you cannot pay for housing without assistance -you are not receiving temporary housing help from any other source. -You also need to develop a long-term housing plan and be able to demonstrate progress toward one If you need continued rental assistance, you must complete an Application for Continued Temporary Housing Assistance. -Homeowners: If your FEMA-verified Real Property Loss exceeds the amount of the initial Rental Assistance awarded, the Application for Continued Temporary Housing Assistance will automatically be mailed to you after you have received the initial Rental Assistance award. -Homeowners: If the Real Property Loss does not exceed the amount of the initial Rental Assistance, you will need to call FEMA’s Helpline to request the application. -Renters: You will need to request the Continued Temporary Housing Assistance Request form by calling FEMA’s Helpline. Parents And Children Together (PACT) offers safe, compassionate, and confidential support in three counties for youth and families coping with serious behavioral, social and emotional challenges. Our evidence-based therapeutic models focus on family networks and relationships, school or job performance, peer connections and relationships, and community networks of support. All services are provided free of charge with referrals.

Operates clearinghouse for consumer inquiries to Food and Drug Administration. Answers letters and telephone calls about products regulated by FDA including foods, drugs, medical devices, radiation emitting devices, veterinary drugs, and cosmetics.

(ELR) Early Learning Readiness (ELR) for Family, Friend and Neighbor Caregivers is a research-based community program that gives young children (not in facility-based childcare), high-quality physical, emotional and cognitive experiences. It also equips their teacher, ensuring they start kindergarten ready to learn. The program provides a stimulating, preschool-like experience through learning centers that foster young child development and improve school readiness, while also supporting and developing the skills and knowledge of caregivers. Early Learning Readiness - services are provided at the Aliamanu Military Reservation for the Pearl Harbor locations.
