(Beretania Park) Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring and summer. Activities are geared for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, Hawaiiana, games and sports, music, seasonal activities and crafts, and excursions. A list of activities, registration dates, and program period information is published in the Midweek prior to registration.

Kauai DARE program

Representative payee or federal fiduciary services are for individuals struggling to, or are unable to, manage their finances. The program helps find a means to maintain financial stability while gaining the skills and discipline necessary to acquire financial responsibility. Kokua Support Services works closely with the Social Security Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs, and all third parties (case managers, landlords, creditors) to ensure clients funds are handled with the upmost care.

Assists researchers interested in tracing their families. Maintains the following information: 1. FHLC (Family History Library Catalog): Computer-produced catalog describes all the books, films, pamphlets, maps, etc., available at the main library in Salt Lake City. 2. IGI (International Genealogical Index): A worldwide list of names and selected vital data of more than 150 million people. 3. Ancestral File: Is pedigree linked and can be grouped in families. 4. Social Security Death Index: Lists about 38 million deceased persons who had Social Security numbers and whose deaths were reported to that administration. 5. US Military Index: Index of individuals in the United States military who died, or were declared dead, in Korea or Vietnam (1950-1975). 6. Personal Ancestral File software available for Ancestral use on computers in library to make your own family record. 7. Hawaii delayed birth records index on computer. 8. Scottish Church Records.

Defends and protects the constitutional freedoms guaranteed in the Bill of Rights and the Hawaii State Constitution. Consists of 3 major program areas: Public Education: Coordinates volunteers. Provides speakers and materials to groups wanting to hear about civil liberties and handles special program events for the organization including forums, debates, speech tours, etc. Free publications of interest include the Police Contact Card, copies of the Bill of Rights, brochures about one's rights during a federal investigation and a right to protest. Legal Program: Responds to any request for help sent in writing to the office. Depending on resources available, may investigate resolve or litigate complaints concerning the infringement of civil rights by government agencies. May also provide amicus briefs to cooperating attorneys. Offers comprehensive psychosocial rehabilition treatment including: milieu therapy, assertiveness training, social skills training, nutrition classes, leisure and recreational programs, health and fitness classes. Provides work therapy and training. Program goal: to assist individuals to attain their highest level of independent community functioning and quality of life.

Advises, explains procedures, and orients victims/witnesses to criminal justice system. Accompanies client to court. Provides information on cases. Promotes public awareness of victim/witness concerns. Assists victims with restitution, compensation and referral to community agencies if applicable.

Provides 24-hour care in licensed care homes to give families a rest from the care of elderly or disabled. Referrals can be for short term or long term.

Boys and Girls Clubs of Maui operates a drop-in service facility for youth ages 6 years old to 18 years old, if enrolled in high school. Programs and activities include: character and leadership; healthy lifestyles; sports, fitness, and recreation; education; and workforce development.

(ELR) Early Learning Readiness (ELR) for Family, Friend and Neighbor Caregivers is a research-based community program that gives young children (not in facility-based childcare), high-quality physical, emotional and cognitive experiences. It also equips their teacher, ensuring they start kindergarten ready to learn. The program provides a stimulating, preschool-like experience through learning centers that foster young child development and improve school readiness, while also supporting and developing the skills and knowledge of caregivers. Early Learning Readiness - services are provided at the Aliamanu Military Reservation for the Pearl Harbor locations.
