(Hanahau'oli School) Private school includes grades PK-6 for boys and girls.

Prevents and protects persons and property against crime. Enforces county ordinances and state laws. Investigates missing persons, juvenile offenses, criminal activity. Coordinates traffic safety. Registers and issues firearm permits. Administers and promotes community education and prevention programs such as DARE and Neighborhood Watch.

Each year, Hawai‘i Opera Theatre produces an opera specifically designed to take “on tour” to schools all around the state. In addition to being a great experience with music and drama, this show can also be used to enhance curriculum. Themes are relevant to social studies, language arts, math and more. This production is recommended for grade level K-8 and family audiences but has also been successful with middle and high school audiences as well. Cost per performance is $325 with the recommended audience size of 200 students per performance. The production uses live music accompaniment. (TANF/VR First To Work Program) The program provides job training, placement, and case management services for individuals receiving TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families).

Administers and enforces standards of conduct provisions of the State Ethics Code, Chapter 84, Hawaii Revised Statues. Standards of conduct include provisions on conflicts of interests; gifts and reporting of gifts; fair treatment; confidential information; state contracts; and post employment. Standards apply to elected and appointed state officials, employees, and board and commission members. Standards do not apply to judges or to federal or county officials or employees. Administers and enforces financial disclosure requirements for state officials, employees, board and commission members, and candidates for state elective office. Administers and enforces the State Lobbyists Law, Chapter 97, Hawaii Revised Statutes. Lobbyists Law includes registration and reporting requirements for lobbyists and persons and organizations involved in lobbying the state legislative and executive branches.

Coordinates the recovery of organ and tissue donation for the state of Hawaii. The Respite Home program provides respite care as needed to families that are linked with the Department of Health Child and Adolescent Mental Health Division (CAMHD). The families that use the Respite Home therapeutic living program have behaviorally challenging youth in their homes and have used all of their resources to be able to maintain them on a constant basis. Respite Home services are designed to give these families short-term dependable relief to allow them to rejuvenate and provide a more stable family environment upon the youth’s return. This will hopefully decrease the potential for abuse and neglect and prevent placement of the youth in a more restrictive setting. Services included: -Activities that support daily living skills. -Culturally relevant recreational and social activities. -On-call crisis intervention and support. -Medication monitoring.
