Early Childhood Education Scholarships

Scholarships are given as a reimbursement for the tuition of college-level courses in early childhood education, for Professional and Career Education for Early Childhood (PACE) classes taken if converted to college credits, or for direct assessment fees in obtaining a Child Development Association (CDA) certificate. Scholarships are available for anyone who successfully completes the above (Fiscal year basis & based on availability of funds). Section 8 Rental Assistance Branch - Honolulu

Provides rental subsidies (through the Housing Choice Voucher Program) to very low income families. Under the Housing Voucher Program, the maximum subsidy is primarily based on an applicable payment standard less 30% of the family's monthly adjusted income, but no less than $50; the family pays the balance of the rent. A family is responsible for securing a rental unit which meets program standard.

Training topics may include: ADL/ADL limitations, caregiver’s role, disease prevention and remediation, access to available resources, stages of disease and options/ referrals in legal or financial related matters, RCI-REACH, and Arthritis Foundation related training. Staff will also provide information and referral sources when needed.
Designed to improve the quality of life for families, care receivers, and caregivers by offering a continuum of quality care that is flexible and individualized in order to prolong the care giving relationship. The program actively assists the care receiver and the caregiver in implementing an individualized, strengths based service plan on how to reduce stress and link with the appropriate community resources. The program also provides supportive counseling.
