Kaiser Foundation Health Plan provides a pharmacy to help members with medication. All Kaiser plan members affected by the Kona Low on March 2026 can call or go in to a Kaiser pharmacy to get help with medication replacement. Community-based Pregnancy Services provides counseling and supportive services to women experiencing a crisis due to an unplanned pregnancy and their families, with special attention to pregnant teens. Service assists clients to explore all their viable options concerning their pregnancy and to make informed decisions and plans for themselves and their child. Pregnancy Services provides community outreach in order to reach the women and teens in need of services, and assists them in accessing services, advocacy, information and other resources to meet their needs (such as WIC, Medicaid, AFDC.) Birth options counseling is provided if requested as well as planning and assistance through the process for the individual, partner and family.

(Safe Haven - Oahu) Homeless and transitional services for homeless and mentally ill persons. CARF Accredited.

(Domestic Abuse Shelters and Transitional Apartments - Oahu) Domestic Abuse Shelters provide a safe haven for those fleeing domestic violence. Program accepts abused partners and their children. A 24 hour hotline is available for referrals and resource information. The Domestic Abuse Shelters (DAS) offers up to 120 days of a safe haven, basic needs (food, clothing etc.), counseling and services for children. Program participants learn dynamics of domestic violence, develop safety plans, improve self-esteem and learn healthy parenting skills. Children develop safety plans and learn they’re not responsible for domestic violence. The shelters offer: -Domestic violence crisis hotline -Lodging and food -Crisis counseling -Individual counseling -Educational workshops -Support groups -Information, referral & advocacy -Children's program -Assistance with obtaining a TRO, Housing and financial aid -Volunteer program

LDAH provides mentoring, technical assistance and workshop training in special education to parents/families of children with disabilities or suspected disabilities. Transitional housing for HIV+ individuals who are homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless. Participants may stay between 3 and 24 months; there is on-site curricula, one-on-one counseling, and group activities. Participants pay 30% of income towards rent. Not a hospice or treatment facility, but ensures that participants are connected to needed primary medical care and support services.

We are currently accepting new/unopened donations of essential household and personal care items, including: -Hygiene items and feminine products -Diapers and pull-ups (all sizes) and wipes -Phone chargers and portable battery banks -Laundry detergent and dish soap -Shoes and boots -Towels and bedding (including blankets) -Cookware, dishware, and utensils -Gift cards for flexible support At this time, larger furniture items are not needed, as many affected areas are still in the cleanup phase following the storm. Partner With Us as a Collection Site Community businesses and organizations can play a direct role in Kona low recovery efforts by serving as a donation collection site. By hosting a drive, you can help gather essential items and make it easier for your employees, customers, or community members to contribute. Helping Hands Hawaii can provide guidance on priority items, coordination support, and help ensure donations are directed to families in need.
