Hina's Legacy Rescue Foundation organizes regular events where animals in our care are introduced to potential adoptive families or foster homes. Our team works closely with prospective adopters, educating them about the animals’ backgrounds and specific needs, ensuring that every animal is placed in a loving and appropriate home.

Family conferencing is a traditional group resolution process focusing on repairing and strengthening relationships when youthful offenders admit wrong doing. The conference also provides the victim the opportunity to explain how they were harmed and ask questions of the offender. The conference ends with a reparations agreement to make things "pono".

Provides free information on legal topics such as estate planning, family law, employment and insurance issues. Uses volunteer attorneys to answer calls.

Provides a national toll-free phone line to answer commonly asked questions on postal service, such as service hours, zip code and address information, and mailing rates. A caller attempting to reach a postal worker in Hawaii, or who asks a question that cannot be answered by Mainland operators, will be given a local number to call. Also provides U.S. Passports and voter ballot forms also available at several Post Office locations.

FHLC (Family History Library Catalog): Computer-produced catalog describes all the books, films, pamphlets, maps, etc., available at the main library in Salt Lake City. 2. Social Security Death Index: Lists about 38 million deceased persons who had Social Security numbers and whose deaths were reported to that administration. 5. US Military Index: Index of individuals in the United States military who died, or were declared dead, in Korea or Vietnam (1950-1975). 6. Personal Ancestral File software available for Ancestral use on computers in library to make your own family record. 7. Hawaii delayed birth records index on computer. 8. Scottish Church Records.

(Food Pantry, St Joseph Catholic Church Food Pantry) Saint Joseph Catholic Church provides a food pantry for those in need. Each household receives one bag of groceries and one bag of fresh vegetables and/or frozen items. Households with 4 or more members receives two bags of groceries and two bags of fresh vegetables and/or frozen items. Clients need to register with the Food Pantry to qualify when they receive their food items for the first time. Food donations of canned fruits, meats, soup, beans, vegetables, cereal, and juice are welcome. Any food donations can be left in the food donation bin at the entrance of the church.

(CLDP, Team Based Opportunities) The Conservation Leadership Development Program (CLDP) is a paid program for early professionals interested in pursuing a career in conservation. In CLDP, members are selected by a Host Site (partner organization) that aligns with their skills and conservation interests. Serving in areas such as ornithology, botany, natural resource management, aquatic resource management, marine biology, Hawaiian cultural studies, agricultural science, and more, CLDP terms typically last from 6 months to 1 year, offering hands-on experience, professional development, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact in communities across Hawaii and the Pacific.

(Child Care Connection Hawaii, Arbor, CCCH) Child Care Subsidy (CCS) program helps low-income families to sustain their employment, educational efforts and job training by paying a subsidy for their children who are in the care of Department of Human Services (DHS)-approved child care providers. Unless child care is required for protective purposes, families must meet income and activity requirements to qualify for this subsidy program.

(Homelessness Prevention) This program serves families with children at risk of homelessness. If eligible, families can typically receive up to 3 months of rent (past due rent or future rent), utility assistance, or rental deposit.

(VLA) The VLA project focuses on disabled and elderly veterans and family members who are residents of the state of Hawaii and who want assistance with filing benefits claims with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Also offers referrals to volunteer attorneys through VLSH's pro bono program for legal advice and direct services for: Family Law, Tenant Rights, Collections and Bankruptcy, Estate Planning/Probate, Re-Employment and Community Service Program (Oahu only).

Dedicated to a safe environment for walking, bicycling, jogging, and alternative modes of transportation on Hawaii's roads and trails. Teaches bicycle and pedestrian safety to first, fourth and fifth grade children and bicycle and pedestrian - sensitive motorist education.

Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. Facilities include a multi-purpose building and a field. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring and summer. Activities are geared for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, Hawaiiana, games and sports, music, seasonal activities and crafts, and excursions. (OSHA) Offers health appraisal physical examinations and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health) compliance medical examinations and drug screening. Provides health education and the employee assistance program. Offers occupational medicine, immunizations and industrial injury care and independent medical evaluations. Also provides travel immunizations.

Provides required education to qualify for a hunting license. Administers written exam. Course includes firearms safety, first aid, survival rules, conservation and wildlife identification.

Transitional housing for HIV+ individuals who are homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless. Participants may stay between 3 and 24 months; there is on-site curricula, one-on-one counseling, and group activities. Participants pay 30% of income towards rent. Not a hospice or treatment facility, but ensures that participants are connected to needed primary medical care and support services.
