(VASH, Travelers Aid of Honolulu) The mission of Visitor Aloha Society of Hawaii (VASH) is to share Aloha with visitors who have been victims of a crime or other adversities, and to provide follow-up assistance and support in an effort to create a positive memory of their stay in our islands. The type of assistance provided varies on a case by case basis. Visitor Aloha Society of Hawaii offers assistance and support through information and referrals, emergency ground transportation, and resources for meals and lodging. Assistance is also provided with changes to travel plans and for emotional support. We do not pay for airline tickets, hotel stays, medical or dental expenses, and funeral expenses.

(Kula) --Referrals through the Hawaii CARES line-- Community Empowerment Resources’ Maui Crisis Stabilization Center is an around-the-clock crisis stabilization facility designed for individuals experiencing emotional, behavioral, or psychological crises. Our primary goal is to effectively resolve the crisis and help clients regain stability. We offer a secure and therapeutic environment for adults aged 18 years old or older, providing support for up to 14 days.

Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center's case management and homeless outreach provides outreach and intensive case management services to high risk patients of the Health Center referred by their primary care provider or other provider in the Health Center. Also provides health care via mobile van services to the homeless living along the Waianae Coast. Outreach is provided at the beaches Monday afternoons and Tuesday mornings.

(Queens Medical Center - Main Switchboard and Information) Transfer in-coming calls to requested individuals or departments. Accepts volunteers who are at least 15 years of age for areas such as the ER Department, pharmacy, business offices and nursing units.

Operates a 24-hour, toll-free child abuse hotline. Refers callers to national, state, and local child abuse resources.

Through its Family Court Liaison Branch (FCLB), CAMHD provides mental health assessments and treatment services for youth at the Detention Home (DH) and the Hawaii Youth Correctional Facility (HYCF).

Sand Island Treatment Center provides residential alcohol and drug rehabilitation, day treatment, out-patient (high intensity and low intensity) supportive living, dual diagnosis, and aftercare.

The Back-to-School Brigade is an annual nationwide campaign by Operation Homefront that collects and distributes school supplies to eligible dependents of service members. Through this assistance program, military children receive free back-to-school supplies, including backpacks, to help them start the new school year on the right foot. (DCMP) The original Disaster Case Management Program (DCMP) connects survivors of the 2023 Maui wildfires with Disaster Case Managers (DCMs). Disaster Case Managers guide and navigate recovery support and services, help assess and address survivors' needs, identify decision-making priorities, develop a disaster recovery plan and connects survivors with referrals and resources to help. (Ho'ola Lahui Hawaii - Lihue, Waimea and Kapaa) Provides medical care; dental care; substance abuse counseling; tobacco cessation; fitness and wellness programs; cancer screening; nutrition counseling; individual, family and couples counseling; case management services; and outreach services.

(TANF, TAONF) The federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program provides temporary cash assistance to eligible families. The monthly cash assistance given to families may be used to pay for food, clothing, housing and utility expenses, and other daily needs. Eligible families include at least one specified relative adult and a minor dependent child who resides in the same home. In addition, family members must be US citizens. The State of Hawaii Temporary Assistance for Other Needy Families (TAONF) Program provides the same benefits and services to Hawaii’s vulnerable families with children as the TANF program. The TAONF program eligibility includes mixed citizens and non-citizens, and single- and two-parent households.
