(24 Resident Agencies, J Walter Cameron Center) The J Walter Cameron Center is home to 24 resident agencies that offer a diverse array of services to meet the needs of our community. These agencies collectively provide: -Health Services: medical and dental care, mental health support, substance abuse counseling, and wellness programs to promote overall health and well-being, offering preventive care, treatment, and ongoing support for individuals and families. -Educational Programs: Catering to all age groups, from early childhood education and after-school programs to adult education and vocational training. COMPREHENSIVE ASSESSMENT SERVICES We provide a wide array of comprehensive assessments that include the following types: DUI or OVUII, SAP, First Time Offender Assessments (Act 230/44), and SAA. We work with the Division of Drivers Education, The Judiciary - Adult Client Services, the Department of Transportation (DOT), and Employers to provide needed alcohol and substance abuse assessments for individuals who are required to obtain one for various reasons. KSS can provide interpreter services as needed. ? Examples of reasons for needing or being required to obtain an assessment include but is not limited too: individuals that are found operating a vehicle under the influence of an intoxicant (OVUII), or driving while under the influence (DUI), having failed or refused a urinalysis test under the direction of their employer (these types mostly fall under the requirement of a needing a Substance Abuse Professional SAP assessment), and/or are required to obtain an assessment per the terms and conditions of

The Department of Water Supply is a semi-autonomous agency of the County of Hawaii that is governed by the Water Board. They provide domestic water service through its 23 water systems throughout Hawaii island. Call to start or stop water service and billing questions. Water bill payments can be made at the Kona office.

Provides after school program for Kindergarten through sixth grade public elementary school students who are without adult supervision after school. Program includes homework, recreation supervision, special classes and activities.

(Office of Consumer Protection, OCP) For questions about filing a complaint against a professional or vocational licensee, or to report unlicensed activity. Provides helpful information to consumers on a variety of topics, including hiring a licensed contractor & protecting yourself against unlicensed activity. Also accepts complaints for the Office of Consumer Protection.

(Women Infants and Children Nutrition Program) The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), is a federally funded program which provides Hawaii residents with nourishing supplemental foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion and health and social service referrals. The participants of WIC are either pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum women, and infants and children under age five who meet income guidelines and have a medical or nutritional risk. Nutrition and Health Education: WIC will answer your questions about what to eat for a healthy pregnancy and help you plan family meals and snacks. Education and support for moms who breastfeed: WIC has specially trained staff to answer your breastfeeding questions. Ask for more information about our breast pump loan program. Nourishing supplemental foods: Checks to buy healthy foods such as: Milk, Peanut butter, Fruits and vegetables, Canned tuna or salmon, Juice, Whole grain breads, tortillas, Eggs or brown rice, Cheese, Baby foods, Cereal Infant formula, Dry beans or peas, Tofu, and soy milk Health and social service referrals: Help in finding health care and other community services.

Administers federally-mandated environmental management programs: Wastewater Branch, Clean Air Branch, Clean Water Branch, Safe Drinking Water Branch, and Solid and Hazardous Wastes Branch.

(Ola I Ka Hana Youth Program) Program for youth with low-income and at-risk youth who are in or out of school. Help with building skills to obtain a High School Equivalency or GED, exploring post-secondary education, and employment exploration.

Supportive group housing on a less intense level, with consumer support available 8-16 hours a day on-site and on-call.

(St Joseph Church Outreach - Waipahu) Provides emergency food pantry, canned goods only. Clients to bring their own re-usable bag.

Helps people who have a desire to stop drinking by sharing experiences with alcoholism and recovery. Meetings are currently in-person and on Zoom.

(Workers Compensation) Receives and administers claims under three different federal workers compensation laws: Longshore and Harbor Compensation Act (covers maritime employees other than seamen); Defense Base Act (covers employees of federal contractors); Non-appropriated Fund Instrumentalities Act (Covers employees of military entities which generate own funds, such as exchanges, open messes and various recreational activities).

Pa'a Hana, located in Kapaa, is a residential home for homeless adults with physical challenge.

(Queens Medical Center - Emergency) Provides medical/surgical emergency services.

(Hawaii Homeownership Center - Honolulu Office) The Hawaii HomeOwnership Center's (HHOC) lifetime membership prepares buyers for the home purchase through classes and individual coaching. Classes address the general concepts about preparing for homeownership and the buying process; individual coaching provides support to identify buyer resources and create an action plan to become mortgage ready. Support after our members become homeowners is available through workshops and confidential meetings.

Provides residential refuse collection service. Operates and maintains solid waste disposal facilities. Plans, designs, constructs, inspects and monitors all county solid waste projects. Establishes recycling programs to minimize landfills.

Investigates and takes enforcement action against illegal discharges into the City's storm drain system. Issues permits for various effluent discharges in to City's drainage system. Conducts a storm water sampling and monitoring program. Reviews effective Best Management Practices (BMP) for discharges into city's drainage system.

(Salt Lake Park, Salt Lake Gym) Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. Facilities include a multi-purpose building and a field. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring and summer. Activities are geared for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, games and sports, seasonal activities and crafts, and excursions. A list of activities, registration dates, and program period information is published in the Midweek prior to registration.

Provides congregate meals program for persons aged 60 and over at several Senior Center sites around the island. Includes leisure and socialization activities, along with nutrition education sessions. Provides lunches to those persons who are homebound due to illness, and/or are unable to prepare meals.

Provides disaster assistance to commercial agriculture to address economic losses and restore production lands damaged by flood, drought, or other natural disasters. Provides low-interest credit to producers. Shares costs with producers to install approved conservation practices.
