(24 Resident Agencies, J Walter Cameron Center) The J Walter Cameron Center is home to 24 resident agencies that offer a diverse array of services to meet the needs of our community. These agencies collectively provide: -Health Services: medical and dental care, mental health support, substance abuse counseling, and wellness programs to promote overall health and well-being, offering preventive care, treatment, and ongoing support for individuals and families. -Educational Programs: Catering to all age groups, from early childhood education and after-school programs to adult education and vocational training. These programs enhance literacy, academic achievement, and job readiness. -Social Services: Helping with housing, food security, financial counseling, and emergency relief to provide critical support to individuals and families in crisis, ensuring they have access to basic needs and resources to improve their quality of life. -Immigration Services: legal assistance, citizenship classes, and advocacy for immigrants to help individuals navigate the immigration processes, promoting their integration and participation in the community. -Cultural Programs: Celebrating and preserving diverse cultural heritages through events, workshops, and community activities tofoster inclusivity, understanding, and cultural exchange, enriching the social fabric of our community. -Support for People with Disabilities: advocacy, skill development, and recreational activities to empower individuals with disabilities enhance independence, accessibility, and community involvement. -Youth and Family Services: Focusing on child welfare, parenting support, and family counseling to strengthen family bonds, ensure child safety, and promote healthy development and family dynamics. Offers meeting rooms to community service organizations and agencies (not available for political or religious usage). Meeting room users can access slide and overhead projectors, TV monitors, VCR's and flip charts.
