The Family Law Division performs all Family Court actions on behalf of the state including child and adult protective services, truancies, adolescent mental health cases, involuntary civil mental commitments hearings, minor and adult guardianship, adoptions, etc. Our specialized units (Family Support Unit) perform paternities and (Dead Beat Parents Unit) dead beat parents. The division also provides support to the Child Support Enforcement Agency.

(VLA) The VLA project focuses on disabled and elderly veterans and family members who are residents of the state of Hawaii and who want assistance with filing benefits claims with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Imua Autism Services works with children up to 6 years old using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). ABA is an evidence-based, therapy that focuses on improving social skills, communication and human behavior and is an effective method to help children with autism and other developmental disabilities learn the skills they need to move forward. Imua Family Services understand that each child learns differently. Our goal is to provide an interactive, fun, play-based learning program. We take a collaborative approach incorporating family members and caregivers to develop a comprehensive plan. We work to personalize educational programs for both the child and parents using interviews, observations and natural environment assessments. PATCH, Hawaii's Child Care Resource and Referral Agency, supports those with childcare needs.
