The federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides crucial food and nutritional support to qualifying low-income and needy households, and those making the transition from welfare to self-sufficiency. The SNAP processing center provides public assistance, food stamps (SNAP) and financial assistance, to eligible individuals and families. They handle new applications and ongoing assistance. A paper copy of the application can be downloaded, printed, signed and submitted via US postal mail or dropped off in the drop box. Best Buddies Middle Schools and High Schools fosters one-to-one friendships between students with and without Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). Students with IDD are often isolated and left out of social activities. Best Buddies helps to create an inclusive school climate for students early on in their educational development. The middle school and high school years are a time of heightened social and emotional development and can be difficult even for those without IDD. Best Buddies helps break through social barriers at an important time in a young person's life.

Provides disaster assistance to commercial agricultural producers following natural disasters. Low-interest credit to commercial producers and cost share for installing approved conservation practices.

(DVSF) The Domestic Violence Services for Families program provides counseling services for offenders, survivors and their children who have been referred by DHS programs. Services are provided primarily through group and individual counseling. Serves the Windward and Central area of Oahu. Groups area available after hours in the evening.

Hina's Legacy Rescue Foundation organizes regular events where animals in our care are introduced to potential adoptive families or foster homes. Our team works closely with prospective adopters, educating them about the animals’ backgrounds and specific needs, ensuring that every animal is placed in a loving and appropriate home.

(KGAR) A 1.2 mile (untimed) fun run for youth ages 12 and under at Ala Moana Beach Park. Annually, the event raises over $20,000 dollars to support participating public and private elementary schools’ PE, health education and physical activity programs. For as school to participate and qualify for a donation, a minimum of 10 participants per school must register to be eligible for a donation. The last Keiki Great Aloha Run was on Saturday, March 26, 2022 as a 1.5 mile virtual race. Participants

Volunteer Legal Services Hawaii (VLSH) is the only organization in the state whose sole mission is to serve people in Hawaii with low to moderate income community through volunteer attorneys. Volunteer Legal’s pool of pro bono attorneys provide legal services in a wide range of civil matters, including divorces, paternities, custodies, child support, guardianships, adoptions, powers of attorney, wills, healthcare directives, landlord-tenant cases, collections, and Chapter 7 bankruptcies. Neighborhood Advice and Counsel clinics are being held in-person and via telephone. Clients are responsible for all legal deadlines associated with their case. We experience a high volume of calls.
