(HVOAD, VOAD, Debris Cleanup, Mud Cleanup, Disaster Cleanup, December 2021 Flood, Crisis Clean Up) Crisis Cleanup is a national coordination platform that connects disaster survivors with local volunteer organizations who may provide: Debris removal, muck-out (flood cleanup), tree and yard clearing, and/or basic sanitation of impacted areas. This service is free, but signing up does not guarantee help. Help depends on volunteer availability and capacity. Priority is given to Kupuna (elderly individuals), people with disabilities or access/functional needs, and households with limited resources.

(Easter Seals Hawaii Home and Community-Based Services, Easter Seals Hawaii Honolulu Services Center Adult Day Health Program) Adult Day Health (ADH) focuses on providing a small group environment that fosters growth, and challenges the adult participant to increase independence in a variety of community settings. Emphasis is placed on individual choice, allowing adults to pursue opportunities that match their interests and skills while promoting their dignity and independence. The program provides daily respite for individual and family caregivers as well as provides participants with educational, social, health and recreational opportunities. ADH participants have a full-range of activities to choose from including: the option to go on daily excursions, enjoy art programs, volunteer in the community, attend computer classes with the aid of assistive technology, learn money skills, participate in weekly hula classes or give back to the community through recycling programs. Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. Facilities include a multi-purpose building and a field. There are three program periods throughout the year: fall, spring and summer. Activities are for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, Hawaiiana, games and sports, music, seasonal activities and crafts, and excursions. A list of activities, registration dates, and program period information is published in the Midweek prior to registration.

Provides a national toll-free phone line to answer commonly asked questions on postal service, such as service hours, zip code and address information, and mailing rates. A caller attempting to reach a postal worker in Hawaii, or who asks a question that cannot be answered by Mainland operators, will be given a local number to call. Also provides U.S. Passports and voter ballot forms also available at several Post Office locations.

(TANF, TAONF) The federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program provides temporary cash assistance to eligible families. The monthly cash assistance given to families may be used to pay for food, clothing, housing and utility expenses, and other daily needs. Eligible families include at least one specified relative adult and a minor dependent child who resides in the same home. In addition, family members must be US citizens. The State of Hawaii Temporary Assistance for Other Needy Families (TAONF) Program provides the same benefits and services to Hawaii’s vulnerable families with children as the TANF program. The TAONF program eligibility includes mixed citizens and non-citizens, and single- and two-parent households. Helping Hands Hawaii's Community Clearinghouse operates a warehouse providing free essential items to persons and families with low-income, people experiencing houselessness, and disaster survivors. Available items may include furniture, basic household goods, hygiene items, food, and clothing. (MIECHV) Partnering with ‘Ohana from pregnancy until kindergarten. ‘Ohana receive weekly home visits where they have the opportunity to grow in positive parenting practices, learn about their child’s development, and build a loving relationship between parent and child. Our Parent Educators provide the Parents as Teachers (PAT) and Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters (HIPPY) programs as a part of the your ‘Ohana Network of the state of Hawai’i. (Friends of the Childrens Justice Center - East Hawaii) Helps child victims of abuse ages birth-18 years to gain self-esteem and develop positive self-worth, by filling requests for items and services not available from any other source.

(Community-Based Mentoring Program) Case Managers at Big Brothers Big Sisters Hawaii work with parents, guardians, therapists, counselors, schools, and youth serving organizations to identify and pair under-resourced youth from ages 6 years old and older with one-on-one mentors. Case Managers create an outcome development plan in collaboration with the parent/guardian, child and volunteer. Plans are updated yearly. Youth and their mentors meet 2-3 times per month for a few hours each outing. Outings are selected by the youth. Mentors pick-up their mentees and are responsible for transportation and other costs they incur. Some of the costs are offset by sponsored activities and discounts at partnering companies.
