(24 Resident Agencies, J Walter Cameron Center) The J Walter Cameron Center is home to 24 resident agencies that offer a diverse array of services to meet the needs of our community. These agencies collectively provide: -Health Services: medical and dental care, mental health support, substance abuse counseling, and wellness programs to promote overall health and well-being, offering preventive care, treatment, and ongoing support for individuals and families. -Educational Programs: Catering to all age groups, from early childhood education and after-school programs to adult education and vocational training. These programs enhance literacy, academic achievement, and job readiness. -Social Services: Helping with housing, food security, financial counseling, and emergency relief to provide critical support to individuals and families in crisis, ensuring they have access to basic needs and resources to improve their quality of life. -Immigration Services: legal assistance, citizenship classes, and advocacy for immigrants to help individuals navigate the immigration processes, promoting their integration and participation in the community. -Cultural Programs: Celebrating and preserving diverse cultural heritages through events, workshops, and community activities tofoster inclusivity, understanding, and cultural exchange, enriching the social fabric of our community. -Support for People with Disabilities: advocacy, skill development, and recreational activities to empower individuals with disabilities enhance independence, accessibility, and community involvement. -Youth and Family Services: Focusing on child welfare, parenting support, and family counseling to strengthen family bonds, ensure child safety, and promote healthy development and family dynamics. Offers meeting rooms to community service organizations and agencies (not available for political or religious usage). Meeting room users can access slide and overhead projectors, TV monitors, VCR's and flip charts.

Operates an artists' guild offering textile, fused glass, ceramic, wood and photographic art. Maintains a darkroom and kiln. Operates gallery and gift-shops with artists offering such exhibits as wearable art, silk screen and Hawaiian painted silk.

Offers medical, dental, vision, and drug health care plans to individuals and employers. Plan options include fee-for-service, preferred provider organization, health maintenance organization and plans for students, self-employed and Medicare supplement.

(Kilo Kai) Pacific American Foundation provides a methodologies in marine science early college class.

Offers a resource library with information on litter, recycling, composting, botanical, home gardening and Hawaiian plants. Conducts garden tours. Offers master gardener education program. Makes presentations to schools about reducing litter. Operates a Full Circle Shop.

Offers comprehensive psychosocial rehabilition treatment including: milieu therapy, assertiveness training, social skills training, nutrition classes, leisure and recreational programs, health and fitness classes. Provides work therapy and training. Program goal: to assist individuals to attain their highest level of independent community functioning and quality of life.

Surfrider Spirit Sessions is a grassroots 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that mentors at risk and adjudicated youths. Our 8 week mentoring program surrounds adjudicated and at risk youths with positive adult and peer role models and uses a unique combination of Hawaiian culture, environmental awareness, surfing, eco-therapy, socialization, mentoring and educational activities to help teens develop new skills, enhance self-esteem, embrace new modes of thinking and break their cycle of errant behavior. We have seen many of our youths go on to college, pursue a career in the trade industry and maintain a clean life. Mentoring program is on the beach of Waikiki.

Maui Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) is incorporating a new evacuation notification platform, powered by Genasys, Inc, to enhance emergency operations for residents and visitors. The platform, known as Genasys Protect, will allow users to view evacuation zones, track live statuses, and receive real-time notifications through a mobile app. The Genasys system includes a zone map where users can see pre-determined evacuation zones, as well as live status updates during emergencies. The mobile app, available for both Apple and Android devices, will enable the public to follow their important zones and receive notifications specific to their zone.

(Youth Employment and Success Hawaii) YES Hawaii serves youth ages 14-26. The program provides peer support and outreach services. The Program is youth driven and designed to engage foster youth in peer mentoring and meaningful and supportive events and activities. Services include outreach and support, peer mentoring, events and activities, leadership and skill-building, and social media and other electronic communication training.

(H-HEAP, Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program - Energy Crisis Intervention-Windward, LIHEAP ECI, ECI) Hawaii Home Energy Assistance Program (H-HEAP) Energy Crisis Intervention (ECI) is designed to help families keep their utilities (gas or electric) on, especially those households that are most vulnerable, such as the elderly, the disabled, and households with young children. H-HEAP primarily assists households by applying an energy assistance grant directly to the energy provider on behalf of the eligible household. Applications are accepted year-round. Youth identified as requiring intensive mental health services may be enrolled with the Department of Health (DOH) Family Guidance Center (FGC) located in the school district of their home school. They are assigned an FGC Mental Health Care Coordinator (MHCC) at that time. The youth may, and often will, continue to receive School-Based Behavioral Health (SBBH) services and supports from the Department of Education (DOE) in conjunction with the intensive mental health services.

Provides community programs such as: awards system, ride along, tours, law enforcement, neighborhood watch programs, speakers bureau, operation ID and police/military relations. Also provides (upon request) Keiki ID cards at special events and/or schools (does not provide ID cards on an individual basis).
