Operation Hero is an afterschool program that targets military children who have been identified by teachers, counselors, or parents as exhibiting low self-esteem, or who have difficulty adjusting, both academically and sociall t the school environment. Oftentimes, these difficulties can be attributed to frequent moves and family disruption due to deployments. The curriculum is designed to help children cope with the challenges of military life, provide tools to help them succeed in school, and assist them in developing a positive self-image while improving communication skills. This program promotes social responsibility through team-building activities and targets children.

Blue Planet Foundation is a community organization that’s changing the conversation about clean energy by creating sustainable models in Hawaii. We offer community and school education on clean energy and electric vehicle/clean transportation information. Through our education programs, we're educating and empowering youth to become leaders and help find climate solutions. Project, Hawaii HOME Project - Mobile Medical Clinic for the Kona Low) The Hawaii HOME Project provides a mobile medical clinic for the people on the North Shore of Oahu affected by the Kona Low in March 2026. Assistance is now available at the Community Assistance Center at Waialua District Park. Services include: wound care, check ups, and medications. A limited supply of medications are on hand and prescriptions can be written if necessary. General necessities/supplies are available but are limited. (Women Infants and Children Nutrition Program) The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), is a federally funded program which provides Hawaii residents with nourishing supplemental foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion and health and social service referrals. The participants of WIC are either pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum women, and infants and children under age five who meet income guidelines and have a medical or nutritional risk. Nutrition and Health Education: WIC will answer your questions about what to eat for a healthy pregnancy and help you plan family meals and snacks. (Ohana Finding) Family Finding is a process designed to identify, locate and engage family members of children and youth who are in foster care. Family Finding utilizes database case mining and internet searches to identify and locate family and other possible relatives. Individuals who are identified as possible relatives are verified via phone contact and/or letters, and names of confirmed family members are compiled onto maternal and paternal family lists. These lists are then submitted to Child Welfare Services (CWS), the GAL, and the EPIC Ohana Conference coordinator or the Ohana Connections specialist to assist them in engaging relatives to help care for, provide support for, or reconnect to the child in care. (MEO) Provides up to 6 months of case management that includes developing an individual service plan, budget preparation, assistance with job retention and job skill development, and other counseling. In addition to case management clients may receive up to a maximum of $3500 in rental assistance. This is structured for a six month period with the first month's rental not to exceed $1200.
