(Neighborhood Development and Community Outreach Program (former name)) Community Services program offers an array of services to individuals and families in need. Provides food pantry on-site to those in need of food. Provides hygiene pantry for the homebound seniors. School supplies program is collaborative effort with Helping Hands Hawaii. We accept school supplies donations and help distribute them as well.

By providing counseling support and resources to pregnant women, it is our goal that they will quit smoking and maintain smoking cessation throughout the postpartum period and beyond. (808 No Vape) 808NOVAPE is a vaping prevention campaign currently providing presentations for elementary, middle and high school students. Typically, the presentations are done for health classes, but we have done several all school assemblies or covered entire grades. We also provide presentations for parents and teachers as well as college students and other community groups seeking to raise awareness around this issue. We can also do presentations for a parents night or a school staff training. The presentation is conducted via Powerpoint and is scalable from a 30 minute presentation up to a full hour including Question and Answer (Q & A), and usually requires a projector and screen, or large TV. Presentations can also be planned virtually via Zoom, Webex or Google Classroom. (Domestic Violence Advocacy) Families who are enrolled in Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) or Temporary Assistance to Other Needy Families (more commonly known as “welfare”), are required to be engaged in activities that will ultimately lead them to self-sufficiency. Program recipients for whom issues of safety and domestic violence are interfering with their progress can call upon Domestic Violence Advocacy to help them find support to change their situations. Services include: assessment, service planning, counseling services, case management and linkage and referral. Provides client advocacy for women referred by Department of Human Services (DHS) in need of case management and support to leave domestic violent relationships. Six month time period given to provide victims the opportunity to gain focus and perspective of their personal goals and career choice.
