(H-HEAP, Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program - Energy Crisis Intervention - Central, LIHEAP ECI, ECI) Hawaii Home Energy Assistance Program (H-HEAP) Energy Crisis Intervention (ECI) is designed to help families keep their utilities (gas or electric) on, especially those households that are most vulnerable, such as the elderly, the disabled, and households with young children. H-HEAP primarily assists households by applying an energy assistance grant directly to the energy provider on behalf of the eligible household. Applications are accepted year-round. (MEO, MEO Core 4 Business Planning Class) Offers a 30-hour course that helps individuals analyze business opportunity and plan success. The course guides individuals in the development of a realistic, achievable plan for a business. It is helpful for prospective entrepreneurs as well as existing small business owners.

Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. Facilities include a multi-purpose building and a field. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring and summer. Miracle Flights provides free airline tickets to families in need of specialized, distant medical care and/or second opinions. Flight support is provided to children and adult patients at no cost to the family, as many times as necessary. Flight programs include domestic and international travel to U.S. treatment facilities and to train/retrieve service dogs.

Promotes water enrichment and aquatic readiness activities for children and their parents. Skills are developed around five main components: personal safety, personal growth, stroke development, water sports/game, and rescue.

Perinatal support services provides case management services to women who receive their prenatal care at Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center (WCCHC) from the time they enter prenatal care until 3 months postpartum. (Hoopono Services for the Blind Branch) Assists people with visual impairment, blindness, or both deafness and blindness to obtain and maintain employment and/or independent functioning. Provides evaluation, counseling and guidance. Provides physical and mental restoration, vocational and other training, job development and placement, and supported employment. Supplies assistive aids and devices. Teaches mobility skills, personal and home management, and communication skills.

Provides information to promote the film industry in Hawaii. Facilitates permit requests to film on state property.

Operates 24-hour child abuse and neglect hotline. Receives all reports of child abuse or neglect. Provides case consultation and assessment. Provides crisis intervention on behalf of children in need of immediate protection.

Collects and distributes child support funds in all new divorce and paternity cases, newly modified orders, as well as those cases handled in the past. Legally establishes the identity of the father of children born out of wedlock. Obtains court and administrative orders for child support which are enforceable against parents who have a duty to provide support. Locates parents who are not complying with existing child support orders and enforces payment through wage assignment, income tax refund intercept and other legal means. Ensures medical coverage for children.

Planned Parenthood Great Northwest, Hawaii, Alaska, Indiana and Kentucky offers in-person and telehealth care for abortion, birth control, emergency contraception, vasectomy, gender-affirming services, HIV testing, pregnancy testing, prenatal and postpartum services, STD testing and treatment, pap smears, vaccines, screening and treatment of minor gynecological problems like UTIs, wellness and preventive care, substance use support and referrals, unhealthy relationship support and referrals, and education and counseling.

(Ko'olauloa Health Center) Provides health screening such as blood pressure screening, blood tests, breast examinations, chest x-rays, drug/alcohol testing, hepatitis testing, pregnancy testing, psychological testing, sexually transmitted disease screening, etc. Other services include flu shots, information and referral, immunizations, well baby care, dental care, health education and more. The State of Hawaii Department of Taxation - Hawaii District collects State taxes, provides information and assistance on preparation of certain tax forms, issues general excise tax licenses, and furnishes State tax forms.

Provides health services for eligible women veterans. Women Veterans Coordinator is available to provide services to women.

The Compassionate Friends (TCF) is a peer group support organization offering friendship and understanding to bereaved parents, grandparents and siblings. Its mission is to assist families toward a positive resolution of grief following the death of a child of any age from any cause. Meeting location: Kaneohe Bay Plaza, Room 401, 45-955 Kamehameha Highway, Kaneohe, HI 96744.

Provides shelter for persons who are homeless and who are willing to abide by house rules (including, but not limited to: no drugs, no alcohol, no violence) for a maximum of six weeks. Stays up to six weeks include mandatory attendance at life skills training. Residence beyond six weeks includes vocational and educational referrals and assistance. Requires clients to be actively engaged in improving their situation with the goal of moving back into the community. Has 40 studio and 32 two-bedroom units with kitchen and bath; separate dormitories for single women and single men; day care center; primary care medical clinic, laundry facilities and common dining hall. Can accommodate 310 persons.

Maintains information resources, i.e. books, magazines, musical recordings, video and audio tapes, State and County government documents and Hawaiiana materials. Provides fax service to send messages to State legislators. Provides access to wi-fi and telephone reference service.

(Aloha Diaper Pantry) The Aloha Diaper Bank supports newborns up to 3 years old who are facing poverty or family crises due to job loss or personal circumstances. Working in collaboration with various local agencies that serve low-income, homeless, and families in crisis, we provide essential diapers and wipes. Families are encouraged to register with one of the partner agencies to receive ongoing support and access other valuable services during challenging times. Additionally, the Aloha Diaper Bank offers a one-time emergency assistance package, including 75 diapers and 2 packs of baby wipes, to address immediate needs. If you are an individual in need of diapers, our partner agency Keiki O Ka Aina can help to sign you up to receive diapers and provide you guidance with parenting services and classes.
