The federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides crucial food and nutritional support to qualifying low-income and needy households, and those making the transition from welfare to self-sufficiency. The SNAP processing center provides public assistance, food stamps (SNAP) and financial assistance, to eligible individuals and families. They handle new applications and ongoing assistance. Shelter of Wisdom rents homes which are shared by our men. Men live in double rooms with shared living areas and house chores. We provide intensive case management until our men are accepted into permanent housing. We provide household furnishings for their new homes, which are donated to us by the community. Men must maintain their sobriety, hygiene, medications, meal preparation, laundry, housekeeping and behavior.

(HCAP STEM) The Ha Initiative: Creative STEM After-School Program is a free Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) after-school program for youth in grades 2-8. The program provides year-round tutoring, mentorship, and fun STEM activities in a safe after-school setting at five STEM Exploration Center locations on Oʻahu.

(SSVF) Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) provides outreach and case management service to improve housing stability by providing supportive services to eligible Veteran families residing in or transitioning to permanent housing. Supportive Services include housing search assistance, landlord mediation, and temporary financial assistance. SSVF also provides information and referrals to assist participants with obtaining VA benefits and other public benefits, which may include health care services, personal financial planning services, and legal services.

(Women Infants and Children Nutrition Program) The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), is a federally funded program which provides Hawaii residents with nourishing supplemental foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion and health and social service referrals. The participants of WIC are either pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum women, and infants and children under age five who meet income guidelines and have a medical or nutritional risk.
