(Hawaii H.O.M.E. Project, Hawaii HOME Project - Mobile Medical Clinic for the Kona Low) The Hawaii HOME Project provides a mobile medical clinic for the people on the North Shore of Oahu affected by the Kona Low in March 2026. Assistance is now available at the Community Assistance Center at Waialua District Park. Services include: wound care, check ups, and medications. A limited supply of medications are on hand and prescriptions can be written if necessary. General necessities/supplies are available but are limited. (NHL) The Alu Like's Native Hawaiian Library is at the Nanakuli office. Its purpose is to provide library and information services to Native Hawaiians and others interested in the history, culture, and contributions of Native Hawaiians. In addition to library and literacy services, the library leads the effort to preserve Hawaiian language documents through our Hawaiian Language Legacy Program (HLLP).

(SHEG) A one time, not ongoing financial assistance for households who are homeless or at-risk for homelessness. Single, couples and families. Provides assistance with rent deposit, first month rent, past due rent, utilities when included with rent or if utility assistance prevents homelessness. Utility assistance for renters only. Utilities assistance to prevent the household from losing their housing or prevent homelessness.

ESH recognizes the value employment has in achieving acceptance and living independent and fulfilling lives. ESH Employment Services provides exceptional, individualized services that support community integration through competitive employment. In collaborating with the Job Seeker, ESH develops an Individual Plan which will identify employment goals, activities and objectives. To implement best practices and person -centered planning, ESH uses a "Discovery Process" and "Customized Employment" model. Discovery Process and Customized Employment are recognized by the US Department of Labor as best practices.

(HI-EMA, SCD, State Civil Defense Division) State of Hawaii Department of Defense's Hawaii Emergency Management Agency (HI-EMA) activates public warning and instructions in emergencies. HI-EMA coordinates with county civil defense agencies integrated plans for all hazards, disaster response and recovery. HI-EMA provides community education on hazard awareness, and disaster preparedness, and conducts professional training programs.

(Crime Stoppers) Provides law enforcement, criminal investigation and crime prevention. Investigates accidents and provides traffic control. Registers firearms. Accepts information on missing persons. HPD does not handle driver's licensing or motor vehicle registration, abandoned vehicles or safety inspections (these are provided by Department of Finance, Motor Vehicle & Licensing Division).

The HUD Housing Choice Voucher Program (formerly the Section 8 Program) is the federal government's major program for assisting very low-income families, the elderly, and the disabled to afford decent, safe, and sanitary housing in the private market. Since housing assistance is provided on behalf of the family or individual, participants are able to find their own housing, including single-family homes, townhouses and apartments. The participant is free to choose any housing that meets the requirements of the program and is not limited to units located in subsidized housing projects. Housing choice vouchers are administered locally by public housing agencies (PHAs). The PHAs receive federal funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to administer the voucher program. (MEO) Reviews credit reports with individuals and provides tips and resources on how to improve credit scores. The program also discusses issues affecting small business owners and helps to find solutions to problems.

(CARE Program) Provides comprehensive, coordinated and compassionate forensic health services to children who are victims and suspected victims of abuse and neglect.

The Arc of Kona provides transportation, evaluation, job counseling, training, placement, residential programs, personal assistance, and day activity programs for people with intellectual disabilities.

(Meal Delivery - Hawaii Meals on Wheels) Medical meal (diabetic, renal, chopped, pureed, etc.) delivery service to homebound kupuna. Meals are frozen or hot, as needed. Frozen meals delivered once a week to your home and is a week's worth of meals. Hot meals are daily during weekdays, including all holidays. Both hot and frozen programs offer medical meals. Helps frail elderly and disabled individuals preserve their independence at home by providing nutritious meals and regular personal contact. Clients will have to have limited mobility; not be able to meet certain criteria of daily living i.e. difficulty dressing themselves, unable to cook or shop on their own. For private pay and sponsored services, A Hawaii Meals on Wheels staff will check in with their physician on their health status.

Serves as an informational resource for all EPA programs.
