Launched in January 2020, the Service Excellence Certificate of Achievement curriculum provides fundamental skills for employment in the hospitality industry and beyond. The training marries our unique philosophy for world class service rooted in the Hawaiian culture with world renowned hospitality education from Cornell University. The curriculum was exclusively developed in partnership with the School of Hotel Administration at the Cornell SJ Johnson College of Business, one of the leading hospitality administration programs in the world, for the DOE’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) program. Upon completion of the program’s 9 lessons, students receive a Service Excellence Certificate of Achievement from Cornell University and ClimbHI. The program served 683 students and teachers in its first year, and is currently available for DOE CTE students. To receive the ClimbHI Service Excellence Certificate, the following online modules must be completed (each lesson will take up to 45 min to complete): Aloha Spirit Lesson/Quiz eCornell 8 modules Upon completion, both the ClimbHI and Cornell University certificates will be made available to students electronically.

Transitional Family Care for youth 5 - 17 years of age with emotional and/or behavioral disturbances, Hale Kipa's Therapeutic Foster Care Program provides community-based services within a family home setting. The 3-9 month program is often a "step-down" from hospitalization or a residential setting and can be helpful in transitioning youth from a higher level of care to successful integration into the community.

The Rent-to-Work Program (RTW) provides rental assistance and support services to persons experiencing homelessness who are willing to maintain employment or increase income through employment. The participant must develop and follow an individualized employment and training plan to increase income. Services include: Short-term rental subsidy for 12-24 months, housing placement assistance, tansition to affordable housing (if available), job placement/job training, and intensive case management.

(Tutu and Me Traveling Preschool) Tutu and Me aims to identify, recruit, and service this undeserved segment of the Native Hawaiian population through an innovative traveling preschool program done in cooperation with churches and community organizations serving the Hawaiian and part-Hawaiian community. Tutu and Me aims to meet the developmental needs of these young children and to support the grandparents as well as parents and other primary caregivers who are raising them. Teaching teams, comprised of early education educators, travel to pre-selected communities where they set up, conduct, and facilitate the program. The curriculum is organized around learning themes and cultural aspects, as well as those values that continue to influence the lives of native Hawaiian children, are also incorporated into the curriculum.

(Aloha Diaper Pantry) The Aloha Diaper Bank supports newborns up to 3 years old who are facing poverty or family crises due to job loss or personal circumstances. Working in collaboration with various local agencies that serve low-income, homeless, and families in crisis, we provide essential diapers and wipes. Families are encouraged to register with one of the partner agencies to receive ongoing support and access other valuable services during challenging times. Additionally, the Aloha Diaper Bank offers a one-time emergency assistance package, including 75 diapers and 2 packs of baby wipes, to address immediate needs. The Aloha Diaper Bank Maui Pantry and the Aloha Diaper Bank Kauai Pantry works with partner agencies to distribute diapers to families in need. (PATCH POD Program) The Preschool Open Doors (POD) program provides families with low and moderate incomes subsidies to send their children to preschool for up to two years prior to entering kindergarten.

A comprehensive university/community information center. Includes PAU Violence Program, which provides prevention education and advocacy for current UH students who have experienced sexual assault, relationship violence, and stalking.

(Sexual Abuse Treatment Services) Provides comprehensive services for families and individuals who have experienced sexual abuse within the family. Services are provided to child and adult victims, non-offending partners, alleged juvenile and adult offenders, and siblings. Treatment is provided through individual, dyad, family therapy and an extensive group program. The various components of the program are designed to reinforce each other for more comprehensive treatment. Provides group counseling, individual counseling, mother-daughter counseling, and family counseling services for victims of incest, their siblings, non-offending parents, and offenders.

(Homebase) Fernhurst is a women's residence with a Transitional Housing Program for women. Program entry requires application and interview for eligibility. If accepted, participants must: complete 2 hours of community service per week, check in weekly with the program coordinator, and participate in 2 learning circles and 1 Professional Women's Group. The program serves women on parole and economically disadvantaged women; providing information on the subjects of housing, jobs and personal finance,education and promoting self-sufficiency.

(Domestic Violence Advocacy) Families who are enrolled in Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) or Temporary Assistance to Other Needy Families (more commonly known as “welfare”), are required to be engaged in activities that will ultimately lead them to self-sufficiency. Program recipients for whom issues of safety and domestic violence are interfering with their progress can call upon Domestic Violence Advocacy to help them find support to change their situations. Services include: assessment, service planning, counseling services, case management and linkage and referral.
