(Women Infants and Children Nutrition Program) The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), is a federally funded program which provides Hawaii residents with nourishing supplemental foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion and health and social service referrals. The participants of WIC are either pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum women, and infants and children under age five who meet income guidelines and have a medical or nutritional risk. Our Writing Retreat is not exactly a class but is an opportunity to meet and write in company with other beginning and experienced writers. Here we tap into our mutual creative energy. (24 Resident Agencies, J Walter Cameron Center) The J Walter Cameron Center is home to 24 resident agencies that offer a diverse array of services to meet the needs of our community. These agencies collectively provide: -Health Services: medical and dental care, mental health support, substance abuse counseling, and wellness programs to promote overall health and well-being, offering preventive care, treatment, and ongoing support for individuals and families. -Educational Programs: Catering to all age groups, from early childhood education and after-school programs to adult education and vocational training. (H-HEAP, LIHEAP ECI, ECI, Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program - Energy Crisis Intervention) The Hawaii Home Energy Assistance Program (H-HEAP) is a federally funded program that provides eligible low-income households with a one-time utility assistance payment. Emergency Crisis Intervention (ECI) assists households in crisis (utility termination is current or impending) by assisting with a one-time credit up to $650.00 to help restore or prevent termination of electric or gas services through Hawaiian Electric or Hawaii Gas Company. Applications are accepted on a month-by-month basis, but approvals are limited and space fills quickly. Payments are made directly to your utility company. You can choose either Energy Credit (EC) or Emergency Crisis Intervention (ECI), just one assistance per fiscal year. A checklist of additional required documents is included in the application. Documents can be sent as a PDF or JPEG as long as copies are clear. H-HEAP will not be responsible for returning original documents if sent in (e.g. ID's, Birth Certificates, Social Security Cards, Paystubs, Housing Documentation, etc.); Please provide copies only.

The Reel Camps provide a courageous and safe environment for girls (cis/trans), femmes, non-binary, gender-fluid, and gender-queer youth, as well as any other youth who identify outside of the gender binary. It is a place where they can express their creativity, boost their confidence, and embark on a journey of personal transformation. Participants learn to create and share their own stories, which are meaningful and deserve to be heard and seen.

Provides opportunities and manages facilities for non-organized, outdoor, aquatic recreational activities such as sportfishing, underwater photography and studying aquatic life. Operates and stocks freshwater public fishing areas on Hawaii, Kauai and Oahu. Shoreline Fishery Management monitors accidental introduction of foreign aquatic species. Develops and manages statewide system of artificial reefs to enhance sportfishing species.

Youth drop into the space and are given the opportunity to earn a bike by learning how to fix and maintain a bike in addition to volunteering to help maintain the flow of the shop. Each year there are 400 donated bikes that are refurbished by youth and about 4000 bikes are repaired though 9000 youth service hours.
