(Maui Second Circuit Self Help Center Hoapili Hale) The Maui Court Self-Help Center will provide legal help to the community on a pilot basis. Volunteer attorneys from the Maui County Bar Association will provide limited legal information by telephone in areas such as landlord-tenant, family, and other district court matters. Access by telephone for Molokai, Lanai and Hana residents only when the center is open. The Center does not accept voice messages. Court Navigators for Lanaʻi, Maui, and Molokaʻi are now available by email In 2018, an in-person Volunteer Court Navigator Program was established in the Second Circuit (Maui County). Volunteer Court Navigators assisted unrepresented individuals at Hoapili Hale by answering questions concerning court resources, locations, and procedures. Note: Volunteer Court Navigators cannot provide legal advice or representation. The Volunteer Court Navigator Program has expanded to include services by email. Unrepresented persons can now submit requests for information to: [email protected] The Navigators will make every effort to respond to requests for information pertaining to cases in the Second Circuit (Lanaʻi, Maui, Molokaʻi) within one business day, although it may sometimes take longer to obtain the information necessary to respond to requests for information.

Scholarships are given as a reimbursement for the tuition of college-level courses in early childhood education, for Professional and Career Education for Early Childhood (PACE) classes taken if converted to college credits, or for direct assessment fees in obtaining a Child Development Association (CDA) certificate. We partner with local specialists to provide professional home energy assessments and replace appliances with energy-efficient alternatives. (Monkeypox, Disease Outbreak Control Division - Monkeypox) Mpox (Monkeypox) is a contagious disease caused by the mpox virus. There is currently an outbreak of mpox in the U.S. and other countries where the virus is not usually seen. The current mpox situation is evolving quickly and is subject to change. Mpox (Monkeypox) risk in Hawaii: Department of Health (DOH) is closely monitoring mpox transmission in the United States and Hawaii. Based on the current information available, the risk to most Hawaiʻi residents remains low. Anyone who had direct skin to skin or prolonged close contact with someone with mpox is at risk of infection— regardless of who they are, what they do, or if they are sexually active. Infection begins with flu-like symptoms such as fever, headache, muscle aches, chills, exhaustion, and swollen lymph nodes. Infection progresses to a rash or sores, often on the hands, feet, chest, face, or genitals. Individuals generally become ill within 21 days of exposure. People may have all of the symptoms or only a few. A person with mpox is infectious when symptoms start to when the rash has fully healed and a new layer of skin has formed. Mpox typically lasts 2-4 weeks. People who do not have mpox symptoms cannot spread the virus to others. Many of the same measures that have protected us in the last two years with the COVID-19 pandemic also prevent spread of other diseases, including mpox. This includes staying home if you’re sick, washing your hands, and limiting close personal contact with people who have symptoms of mpox. Individuals who have symptoms consistent with mpox should contact their healthcare provider. Make sure to call ahead and mention that you may have been exposed to mpox. KEY programs, both our own and those of others with whom we partner, provide positive alternatives for youth and families from Kaneohe to Kahuku with a focus on prevention, alternative education options, civic engagement. As an excellent meeting site, KEY provides opportunities for community members to participate in and gain control over their lives and the future of their community through active participation in clubs, organizations, halau, forums and community service activities. Our Cancer Rehabilitation Program (CRP) is a comprehensive program that provides outpatient rehabilitation to cancer patients and survivors. Whether newly diagnosed or finished with treatment, we can help decrease pain and enable individuals to safely and effectively regain independence. Our goal is to help patients love their life as they did before cancer. For those who want to increase their independence and fulfill rehab goals, the CRP may be the right path. Patients work with a team of cancer rehabilitation specialists, including physical therapists and exercise physiologists, to create a program tailored specifically towards improving quality of life.

Na Kia i O Maui provides household goods, furniture, daily essentials, and nonperishable food to fire survivors of Lahaina and Upcountry Maui and March 2026 Kona Low flood survivors. Na Kia i O Maui accept donations of daily essentials, personal grooming supplies, household goods, and furniture.
