Offers internships for interested researchers who apply. Manages Adopt-a-Whale and Adopt-a-Spinner Dolphin program allowing interested citizens to receive information on the movements and developments of a specific whale. Operates Pacific Whale Foundation's Eco-Adventure, a for-profit subsidiary.

Federated States of Micronesia Consulate

Assists Micronesian citizens in arranging for medical care, training, employment, and other services. Provides notary public services. The Consulate General of the Federated States of Micronesia provides a gamut of consular services to the people of the four States of Chuuk, Kosrae, Pohnpei and Yap that constitute the federation residing in the State of Hawaii as its principal bailiwick. It performs many of the functions delineated in the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations and relevant international treatises in which FSM is a member, and carries out any instructions from the home government as permissible under state and local laws of the State of Hawaii. A major component of the Consulate General's work has to do with attending to the required documentations of citizens such as facilitating processing of passports, travel documents, affidavits, guardianship and power of attorney documents, among others. The Consulate General does not issue passports.

Missing Child Center Hawaii

Assists in the location and recovery of missing children. Connected to 49 mainland state clearinghouses as well as the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Traces children and their abductors through connection with these databases and other public records as well as coordination with the efforts of the FBI and police departments of all states. Child Protective Services, Interpol, the U.S. Department of State and countries who are signatories to the Hague Convention. The police should always be notified first in the event that a parent suspects a child has been abducted. Accepts volunteers to assist with basic administrative assistance, special events and graphic designing.

Anti-Bullying Lunchtime Program provides schools with a positive activity for students to curb fighting and eliminate negative activities among students during lunch period. Low COPE (Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience) course activities are utilized and students participate in sports theme activities. The low cope course activity is used for communication, cooperation, decision making, leadership and teamwork. This program is at the 4 elementary schools 3rd thru 5th grade level. The students participate 4 times a month for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Manages public hunting areas, public hiking areas, forest reserves, wildlife sanctuaries, natural area reserves. Accepts reports of forest pests, including new and unusual weeds and certain birds. Pest reports accepted include: wild pigs, snakes, large lizards, ferrets, the banana poka (a weed), the bulbul (a bird) on neighbor islands, and the mongoose on Kauai.

(Women Infants and Children Nutrition Program) The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), is a federally funded program which provides Hawaii residents with nourishing supplemental foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion and health and social service referrals. The participants of WIC are either pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum women, and infants and children under age five who meet income guidelines and have a medical or nutritional risk. Nutrition and Health Education: WIC will answer your questions about what to eat for a healthy pregnancy and help you plan family meals and snacks. Education and support for moms who breastfeed: WIC has specially trained staff to answer your breastfeeding questions. Ask for more information about our breast pump loan program. City and County of Honolulu Down Payment Loan Program

City and County of Honolulu's Department of Community Services is now accepting pre-eligibility inquiries for home loans up to $40,000. Families earning up to 80% of Honolulu’s area median income can qualify. Loans will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to qualified Oʻahu residents. Step 1 – If you appear eligible, the lender will be asked to list the City's Down Payment loan of $40,000 (or less) as "subordinate financing" on your Uniform Residental Loan Application (commonly referred to as a Fannie Mae Form 1003 or Freddie Mac Form 65). Step 2 – After initial loan approval from your first mortgage lender, the lender will be asked to submit electronic copies of your loan application and supporting documents to the City. The City will use copies of the lender's finalized loan forms and supporting documentation to approve the Down Payment loan.
