Program provides assistance to families to pay for child care, for children ages 0-13 and up to 19 years old for children with special needs. Child care includes Licensed Family Child Care Homes, Infant and Toddler Centers, Preschools, Before/After school Programs, Intercession care as well as License-Exempt providers. Provides help with child care providers in Maui County with any needs that they might have in the areas of training, health, safety and licensing.

(Ohana Energy Gift Program) The Hawaiian Electric Company Ohana Energy Gift Program allows customers of Hawaiian Electric to make payments toward a designated recipient's electric account. The recipient will receive an acknowledgement letter once the gift amount has been applied to his or her account. Gift givers will receive a confirmation letter once the designated recipient's account information has been verified and the gift amount has been applied. Administers federal/state program which assists counties in constructing public wastewater treatment facilities. Regulates all public and private wastewater systems. Determines project priorities. Approves facility plans and engineering reports. Approves construction plans, operation and maintenance. Approves all new wastewater systems and inspects all existing wastewater systems to assure that such systems do not create any public health hazard or nuisance or contaminate coastal waters, streams, or groundwaters. Administers the Statewide Wastewater Operator Training Center and Operator Certification Program.
