Governs the importation of dogs and cats into Hawaii. Operates the Animal Quarantine Station. Dogs and cats meeting specific pre and post arrival requirements may qualify for 5-day-or-less quarantine or direct release at Honolulu International Airport after inspection. Depending on a pet's rabies vaccination status, it takes between 4 1/2 to 7 months to prepare a pet to qualify for the 5-Day-or-Less program. Dogs and cats not meeting all of the specific 5-Day-Or-Less program requirements are quarantined up to 120 days upon arrival in Hawaii.

(Crime Stoppers) Provides law enforcement, criminal investigation and crime prevention. Investigates accidents and provides traffic control. Registers firearms. (LITFP) The Low Income Transit Fare Program (LITFP) provides a discounted transit fare for income qualifying individuals. Applications accepted on a first come, first served basis. The LITFP program runs on the City and County of Honolulu's fiscal year (July 1st-June 30th), so clients will need to reapply ever fiscal year. The HOLO card may be prepaid or reloaded on a monthly basis. Do no apply if you a person with Supplemental Security Income (SSI). (Workforce Development) Provides job training, placement, and case management services for individuals receiving TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families)/VR (Vocational Rehabilitation) assistance.

Quality Care for Hawaiian Keiki (QCHK) is a child care subsidy program for Native Hawaiian in Maui County. QCHK goals are to help Native Hawaiian/Part Hawaiian families become more economically self sufficient as well as helping their children to become school ready. Program provides assistance to families to pay for child care, for children ages 0-13 and up to 19 years old for children with special needs. Child care includes Licensed Family Child Care Homes, Infant and Toddler Centers, Preschools, Before/After school Programs, Intercession care as well as License-Exempt providers. Provides help with child care providers in Maui County with any needs that they might have in the areas of training, health, safety and licensing.

Maintains professional organization of architects dedicated to employing with the highest industry standards and adhering strictly to a written code of ethics. Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. Facilities include a multi-purpose building and a field. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring and summer. Activities are geared for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, Hawaiiana, games and sports, music, seasonal activities and crafts, and excursions. A list of activities, registration dates, and program period information is published in the Advertiser and Star-Bulletin the week before registration week.

The federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides crucial food and nutritional support to qualifying low-income and needy households, and those making the transition from welfare to self-sufficiency. The SNAP processing center provides public assistance, food stamps (SNAP) and financial assistance, to eligible individuals and families. They handle new applications and ongoing assistance.
