(Act 310) The Act 310 Nonprofit Grants Program, made possible through emergency funding approved by the Hawaii State Legislature.
Act 310 is the official law created from Hawaii’s Senate Bill 933, signed by Governor Josh Green in July 2025. Act 310 appropriates $50 million in state funds to support Hawaii’s nonprofit sector following unprecedented cuts to federal grants.
The program supports nonprofits across the islands whose federal funding has been reduced or cut, helping ensure essential services continue for Hawaii’s communities.

The Humane Society Hawaii Island (HIHS) provides shelter, food, licensing, adoption and euthanasia services for animals picked up by HIHS humane officers or brought in by private owners. In CLDP, members are selected by a Host Site (partner organization) that aligns with their skills and conservation interests. Serving in areas such as ornithology, botany, natural resource management, aquatic resource management, marine biology, Hawaiian cultural studies, agricultural science, and more, CLDP terms typically last from 6 months to 1 year, offering hands-on experience, professional development, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact in communities across Hawaii and the Pacific.

Relocation Readiness Program

The Relocation Program provides services to inbound and outbound soldiers and family members about resources that are needed to make informed decisions and to reduce problems that occur due to frequent moves. Services include relocation planning, pre-arrival information, welcome packet, newcomer's orientation, island tour and immigration informational workshops. Seagull Schools Adult Day Center

Provides support and supervision to adults 18 and older who are unable to remain at home alone. Provides two meals and two snacks daily, as well as both structured and informal activities for clients' enjoyment. Interaction with the keiki from the pre-school located on the same campus is offered through the Intergenerational Program.

Americorps VISTA
