(Steadfast Pacific) Acquires, develops, owns, and manages permanent supported housing suitable for occupancy by persons in Hawaii with chronic mental illness, also known as SMI (Seriously Mentally Ill). Operates 29 group homes (including duplex units) and 6 condominium units. All clients are being provided with mental health supportive services at the Community Mental Health Centers.

Dispatches fire fighters and rescue squad personnel for emergencies. Issues firework permits. (Women Infants and Children Nutrition Program) The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC), is a federally funded program which provides Hawaii residents with nourishing supplemental foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding promotion and health and social service referrals. The participants of WIC are either pregnant, breastfeeding, or postpartum women, and infants and children under age five who meet income guidelines and have a medical or nutritional risk. Nutrition and Health Education: WIC will answer your questions about what to eat for a healthy pregnancy and help you plan family meals and snacks. Hoa Aina O Makaha is a resource to the schools by providing interactive hands-on activities that broadens understanding of subject matter and enhances classroom lesson plans; activities include gardening projects and animal care. Small scale agricultural farming produces herbs and other produce.

Focuses on controlling pain, managing symptoms, providing comfort, dignity and quality of life when the quantity of life may be limited. (Tutus Closet) Tutu's closet is a free mini thrift shop held only on 7/18/15 (Saturday) that provides household items, clothes, children's clothing for school, shoes. There will also be applications there for other programs such as Head Start. Accepts donations of items that can be dropped off at the office.

Operates a private adoption referral service, established to meet the needs of the birthmother who chooses or feels that she cannot parent at this time in her life. During counseling, these women personally select an adoptive family from service files. If needed, offers housing or relocation service. After the adoption, continues to provide counseling throughout the readjustment period.

Operates a museum dedicated to preserving and perpetuating the maritime history of Hawaii. A self-guided audio tour of over 40 exhibits is available in English, Japanese, and Korean. Displays one of only two humpback whale skeletons in the world, the Falls of Clyde, (the only surviving four-masted full-rigged ship and float in the world, and a National Historic Landmark), and the Polynesian voyaging canoe Hokule'a. Taking pictures, including flash and video, is permitted.
