WIN is committed to guiding women and teens towards sobriety, self-esteem and responsibility through our warm, nurturing and holistic approach. We help our clients develop positive life skills they need to become independent and productive members of our community. We do everything we can to break the generational cycle of hopelessness and abuse. WIN gives preference for admission of pregnant women in our housing and treatment program.

(The Boo Boo Zoo) Provides treatment, care and rehabilitation of injured, sick, and orphaned animals. Rescues and cares for animals in distress. You will be an essential part of preventing infection, ensuring the smooth operation of surgical departments and contributing to the highest standards of patient care. During the 32 week program, you will learn how to: -Identify and handle various types of surgical instruments -Operate sterilization equipment -Follow strict protocols to maintain a sterile environment

Provides social casework, pre-sentence investigation, and supervision of adults convicted of misdemeanor offenses and traffic violations. Assists Court in using sentencing power to rehabilitate individuals. All clients are Court ordered for misdemeanor offenses for pre-sentence reports or on supervision for maximum of one year for each case referred. (Emergency and Transitional Housing Programs) HOPE emergency shelter programs provide shelter for families and individuals that are homeless or at imminent risk of becoming homeless. Services include intake/assessment, case management, referrals/linkages to community resources, access to bed space, storage, meals, laundry, food pantry and clothing bank. The federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) provides crucial food and nutritional support to qualifying low-income and needy households, and those making the transition from welfare to self-sufficiency. The SNAP processing center provides public assistance, food stamps (SNAP) and financial assistance, to eligible individuals and families. They handle new applications and ongoing assistance. Parents And Children Together's (PACT) HEART and Soul program provides group programs and mentoring services for children typically between the ages of 5 years old - 21 years old who have experienced sexual abuse. Supportive services assist youth in their healing process, guiding them toward a successful transition to adulthood. Group programs are also available for siblings and parents/caregivers. Makaha Community Center is accepting volunteers to help year round and in the post disaster period. Volunteers help with the collection and distribution of food, clothing, furniture, appliances, small appliances, cleaning supplies, etc. Times vary depending on volunteer hours. Three or four volunteers needed per day.
