Junior Achievement of Hawaii teaches business economics to students in K - 12th grade using trained volunteers as business consultants. Organized in 1979, the Hawaii Pacific Gerontological Society (HPGS) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of Hawaii’s older adults. We promote the understanding of the aging process, supportive services, and legislation that help people age with dignity and grace. It is the largest voluntary, multidisciplinary group in the State committed to dialogue and discussion, networking and information sharing on issues and policies affecting older adults in this geographical area. Currently, more than 400 older adults, caregivers, gerontology educators, medical and social service practitioners, health care providers, agency personnel and organizations from all sectors of the community make up the membership. Members can attend the meetings held three times a year.

North Shore Mental Health provides services to clients in adult behavioral and mental health. Programs include: Community Based Case Management, PAB, ADAD, and our Leahi medical respite program.

(Kauai Teen Court) Teen Court is a collaborative effort between the Kauai Police Department (KPD), Prosecutor, County of Kauai, Family Court Fifth Circuit, Hale 'Opio Kaua'i, Inc, and youth serving public and private sector agencies to provide a diversionary program from Family Court for first time misdemeanor or status offending youth between the ages of 10 and 18. Juveniles who have admitted guilt and are prepared to be sentenced by their peers will be given a hearing. Teen Court judges selected from a pool of practicing judges, attorneys, and trained teens serve as court officers. Sentences may include referral to mediation or anger management classes, substance abuse counseling, tutoring, or to a mentor. All youth completing sentencing serve on at least three juries.

(Ohana Conferencing) In an ‘Ohana Conference, families work with CWS and use what they know to make the best decisions for the safety of their children and create a plan for strengthening the family. The ‘Ohana Conference is voluntary and is a positive, solution-oriented process.
