Eligible applicants may receive up to four months of financial assistance, including: -Up to 4 months of rent or mortgage (up to $6,000 per month) -One time security deposit (actual housing deposit amount up to the maximum of $6,000) -Up to 4 months of utility assistance ($2,000 per month per utility source) -One time Utility deposit (up to $3,000 per utility source). (H-HEAP, Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program - Energy Crisis Intervention - Leahi, LIHEAP ECI, ECI) Hawaii Home Energy Assistance Program (H-HEAP) Energy Crisis Intervention (ECI) is designed to help families keep their utilities (gas or electric) on, especially those households that are most vulnerable, such as the elderly, the disabled, and households with young children. H-HEAP primarily assists households by applying an energy assistance grant directly to the energy provider on behalf of the eligible household. Applications are accepted year-round. Each year, Hawai‘i Opera Theatre produces an opera specifically designed to take “on tour” to schools all around the state. In addition to being a great experience with music and drama, this show can also be used to enhance curriculum. Themes are relevant to social studies, language arts, math and more. This production is recommended for grade level K-8 and family audiences but has also been successful with middle and high school audiences as well. Cost per performance is $325 with the recommended audience size of 200 students per performance. The production uses live music accompaniment. Services include - Development of an Individualized Family Support Plan (IFSP) by professionals who work with parents to meet their child’s developmental goals. Parent coaching and family support from occupational therapists, physical therapists, speech therapists, special educators and social workers. Developmental evaluations. Resources, information, and referral services. Assistance to families in transition planning for their child’s transition into appropriate settings, such as the Department of Education special education, Head Start or preschool.
