Music Therapy

Sounding Joy's Direct Services include music therapy consultation, assessment, treatment planning, evaluation, and individual/group sessions conducted by Board Certified Music Therapists (MT-BC's). Music therapy sessions can be offered either individually or in group, according to the client's needs. We have grants and scholarships available to assist with payment for music therapy services. Please call our office or email [email protected] for more information. For neighbor islands, please contact us directly to be connected with our Maui therapists. Our organization also offers various ranges of music therapy seminars and conferences, including continuing education credit opportunities. They are mostly targeted to specific populations/groups and topics, but sometimes to the general public. People may need to contact us before attending them. Pacific Birth Collective (PBC) is offering free weekly food boxes designed specifically for the perinatal period, with focus on providing nutrition and health support for mothers and their growing babies. This program is in conjunction with the Maui Food Bank and is free and accessible to everyone. The items in our food boxes are curated for children and women during their childbearing years. Please fill out this form to receive food distributions. The form will be open every week Saturday-Wednesday or until we have 50 recipients, then the form will close. Boxes need to be picked on Friday 10:00 am - 2:00 pm in the Aloha Aina Center Suite 160 in Haiku. Delivery of boxes may be available upon request. Promotes public awareness and education with media campaigns and events. Sponsors an annual conference to encourage researchers in the field of anxiety disorders to share their findings, and funds research.

Substance Abuse and Alcohol Assessment For DUI, Probation, First Time Offende

COMPREHENSIVE ASSESSMENT SERVICES We provide a wide array of comprehensive assessments that include the following types: DUI or OVUII, SAP, First Time Offender Assessments (Act 230/44), and SAA. We work with the Division of Drivers Education, The Judiciary - Adult Client Services, the Department of Transportation (DOT), and Employers to provide needed alcohol and substance abuse assessments for individuals who are required to obtain one for various reasons. KSS can provide interpreter services as needed. ? Examples of reasons for needing or being required to obtain an assessment include but is not limited too: individuals that are found operating a vehicle under the influence of an intoxicant (OVUII), or driving while under the influence (DUI), having failed or refused a urinalysis test under the direction of their employer (these types mostly fall under the requirement of a needing a Substance Abuse Professional SAP assessment), and/or are required to obtain an assessment per the terms and conditions of

Anti-Bullying Lunchtime Program

Anti-Bullying Lunchtime Program provides schools with a positive activity for students to curb fighting and eliminate negative activities among students during lunch period. Low COPE (Challenging Outdoor Personal Experience) course activities are utilized and students participate in sports theme activities. The low cope course activity is used for communication, cooperation, decision making, leadership and teamwork. This program is at the 4 elementary schools 3rd thru 5th grade level. The students participate 4 times a month for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
