Helps members increase or regain their personal and social skills, self confidence, self esteem and level of satisfaction to resume a productive life in the community. Provides assessment, rehabilitation planning, prevocational training, vocational services, supported education, psychosocial skills training, supportive counseling, recreational activities.

Provides bicycling advocacy in such areas as commuting, education, mountain biking, recreation, sport, touring, tourism, trail maintenance, transportation, etc. Organizes weekend rides, bicycling events and races, bi-monthly newsletter, membership meetings, etc. Conducts Bike Ed Hawaii, an on-bike on-road bicycling education program for 4th grade children in Oahu's public school system. (BEST, MEO BEST) Serves presently and formerly incarcerated men and women to make a successful transition from prison back to the Maui community. The primary goal is to provide supportive services so that individuals do not return to incarceration. Employment assistance, job training assistance, housing placement assistance, mentor matching, cultural activities, and family reunification services are provided.

Provides both escort service and home visitation. Escorts the frail elderly to doctors, hospitals, banks, pharmacy. Arranges home visits to assess needs, provide information and referrals that facilitate access to community resources.

Hospice Maui provides hospice care to maximize the comfort and dignity of those in their last months or weeks of life, in whatever setting they reside or in our Hospice Maui Hale. Unlike other forms of care that focus only on the patient’s physical needs, Hospice Maui also provides emotional and spiritual support for the patient and loved ones, as well as bereavement support for an entire year after the death.

Community-based Pregnancy Services provides counseling and supportive services to women experiencing a crisis due to an unplanned pregnancy and their families, with special attention to pregnant teens. Service assists clients to explore all their viable options concerning their pregnancy and to make informed decisions and plans for themselves and their child. Pregnancy Services provides community outreach in order to reach the women and teens in need of services, and assists them in accessing services, advocacy, information and other resources to meet their needs (such as WIC, Medicaid, AFDC.) Birth options counseling is provided if requested as well as planning and assistance through the process for the individual, partner and family.

Provides free information on legal topics such as estate planning, family law, employment and insurance issues. Uses volunteer attorneys to answer calls.

The Salvation Army Lihue Corps provides a place and opportunity for religious expression by those who choose the Salvation Army. Provides character building programs for all ages. Assistance is provided to those who are in need of food and clothing. Provides hospital visits, care home visit, and shut-in visitation to the institutionalized. Mobile showers are available every Tuesday from 9:30 am - 1:00 pm. Back to school supplies program is available mid-July. Holiday programs available as well. Worship services Sunday 10:30 am - 12:15 pm.
