No visa fee for U.S. nationals. Fees charged for passport renewal and some notary services.

Protects interests of Japan and Japanese nationals. Gives some advice and assistance to Japanese nationals in criminal cases, accidents, and emergencies. Performs some notary and civil registration services. Issues passports to Japanese nationals and issues entry visas to Japan-bound visitors. Promotes business, cultural, and other forms of exchanges with Japan. Provides information on Japan. Guest parking available.
