Hawaii Tutoring+
HawaiiKidsCAN and Air Tutors team up to bring students to grade level and beyond. The collaboration ensures that students in Hawaii are matched to an expert educator that will focus on advancing their skill sets and growing them as individuals.
Kids 5 years old - 13 years old (Grade K-8th) can receive tutoring in Math and English. Kids 14 years old - 18 years old (Grade 9th-12th) can receive tutoring in Math and English. Access to the internet and a computer or some other device are required to attend the online tutoring sessions.
Math sessions are on Monday and Wednesday. English sessions on Tuesday and Thursday. This is a free program as scholarships are being provided for the Spring 2024 session.
Hawaii Tutoring has rebranded as Hawaii Tutoring+, as we now are planning to offer digital literacy support for members of the whole family, including parents and kupuna.

(Transitional Housing Program) Provides housing for victims who need safety and support and are ready to go to school/work. Program participants learn dynamics of domestic violence, develop safety plan, improve self-esteem and learn healthy parenting skills. Children develop safety plans and learn they’re not responsible for domestic violence. Length of stay varies depending on individual needs and up to 24 months at the Transitional Apartments.

Provides information and referral to anyone interested in assistive technology (AT) devices and services for people with disabilities. Operates equipment loan banks statewide. Works to ensure that schools, vocational rehabilitation agencies, and health insurers provide assessments, funding and training in the use of AT devices and services for their clients. Administers a low-interest financial loan program to assist individuals in purchasing assistive technology when no other sources of funding are available.

Basic dental hygiene and other optional procedures are rendered based on clinical and professional judgment of students and faculty. Basic procedures include oral examination and charting, scaling and polishing of teeth, and patient education.
Since this part of the dental hygiene curriculum is to provide teaching-learning experiences, the Department reserves the right to select patients and the type of procedures to be rendered; and to refuse individuals who do not meet the teaching criteria. It should be emphasized that full dental service is not available and service is limited to procedures in dental hygiene.
