(Pet Food Bank) Temporary assistance of dry and canned dog and cat food for pet owners who need help feeding their animals. -Bring your own reusable bag to take pet food home to your pets. -Assistance is limited to one application per household. -Applications must be filled out completely in order to receive assistance. -The Pet Food Bank is for personal pet animals only. We are unable to provide food for cat colony caregivers or persons feeding Free-Roaming cats. Provides individual assessment and offers therapy to individuals, couples and families. Conducts group programs including combat trauma, significant others, substance abuse and others depending on needs of clients. Offers crisis assistance and educational/ employment counseling.

Operates an adult day program for individuals with intellectual disabilities, education and vocational training programs for low-to-moderate income people including those with disabilities/special needs, and other support services. (SSO) Department of Education Seamless Summer Option (SSO) Program provides meals free of charge at participating public schools for children 1 year old - 18 years old June 9, 2026 - July 17, 2026. Children do not need to be enrolled in public school to participate. Schools will serve breakfast 7:15 am - 8:45 am and lunches from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm. There will be no meal service on the June 11, 2026 (Kamehameha Day) and July 3, 2026 (Independence Day observed) state holidays. All meals must be eaten on campus; no grab-and-go options are available. Children do not have to be enrolled at a participating school to be served, and meals will consist of solid foods. (Drivers Licensing - Kona) Administers written and road tests for driver's license for automobiles, buses, mopeds, motorcycles, motorscooters, and trucks over 11,000 GVWR. Issues commercial driver's licenses and permits. Obtain State ID cards. Receives international and local driver's license inquiries. Receives Financial Responsibility SR-22 insurance forms for license suspensions by the court or through Administrative Revocation. Issues Hawaii State Identification Cards.

(Kupu Culinary Social Enterprise, Kupu Grinds, Kupu Culinary, Hookupu Center Catering) The Kupu Culinary Program provides hands-on experience for participants to interact with the food and beverage industry through catering services, event handling, and operating the Kupu Food Truck. Whether supporting large-scale events at the Hookupu Center or preparing daily meals for the Kupu Community Program, Kupu provides participants with industry-aligned training that promotes youth empowerment, job readiness, and workforce development within Hawaii’s growing green economy. The Kupu Culinary Program has responded to disasters in the form of providing meals to those in need. In addition to technical culinary training, participants strengthen essential soft skills such as communication, time management, and teamwork, equipping them to transition successfully into long-term employment or further educational opportunities in the culinary or service industries.

(Positive Youth Development, OYS) Services youth ages 10 years old to 21 years old who are engaging in or at-risk of engaging in behaviors such as drug use, delinquency, and/or unprotected sex which lead to teen pregnancy. The program focuses on youth who are in crisis, have no basic necessities or no support systems and are approaching adulthood. We address areas of social well-being, knowledge, reasoning and creativity, vocational preparation, and social responsibility. Program activities address the following areas: youth leadership; educational development; community service and service learning; mentoring and intergenerational support; performing/visual arts and humanities; sports, fitness and health; self awareness and interpersonal dynamics; as well as basic money management/budgeting and job readiness. (Health and Fitness Classes) We provide day camps, Girls in Sports, winter camp, open gym for basketball and volleyball, swim classes for youth and adults, cultural activities, recreational activities, host special events and family camping.

(Tutu Bert's House) The Tutu Bert Medical Respite Homes serve as places for rest and recovery. Those who need medical attention arrive at our respite homes and stay until they are fully recovered from their recent medical procedure, surgery, or other treatments. Friendly staff and medical personnel are available around the clock. Meals and other supplies necessary for their recovery journey are provided to clients. These items are received by the local offices by donations from others and through our TLC Catalog. Depending on resources available, may investigate resolve or litigate complaints concerning the infringement of civil rights by government agencies. (TANF, TAONF) The federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program provides temporary cash assistance to eligible families. The monthly cash assistance given to families may be used to pay for food, clothing, housing and utility expenses, and other daily needs. Eligible families include at least one specified relative adult and a minor dependent child who resides in the same home. In addition, family members must be US citizens. The State of Hawaii Temporary Assistance for Other Needy Families (TAONF) Program provides the same benefits and services to Hawaii’s vulnerable families with children as the TANF program. The TAONF program eligibility includes mixed citizens and non-citizens, and single- and two-parent households.
