Kumu Kahua Theatre

Kumu Kahua means "Original stage" or "Platform". Kumu Kahua is a Playwright's Theatre in the State of Hawaii, providing the local community with 35 years of plays written by local playwrights for the community to attend. The 100 seater black box theatre performs five plays during its Season of Shows.
Produces theatre oriented towards Hawaii's people, in their multi-ethnic diversity. Acts as a platform for local writers as well as hands-on operation for local actors, directors and theatre technicians. Offers classes in playwriting and acting. Accepts volunteers to assist with fundraising, box office, ushing, threatre technicians and phone duties.

(Lunalilo Home’s Meals-to-Go) We prepare balanced meals using fresh ingredients to meet a third of the Recommended Dietary Allowance for an individual as established by the U.S. Food and Nutrition Board of the Institute of Medicine, National Academy of Sciences. We can also accommodate special requests for modified and therapeutic meals including: diabetic, low sodium, reduced cholesterol, low potassium, low fat, and low carbohydrate.
Lunalilo Home is part of 'Ai Pono, a movement to sustainably feed Hawaii and malama our aina and wai. Lunalilo Home prepares and packages local style, nutritious meals featuring indigenous and locally-sourced ingredients, using fresh herbs and vegetables grown in Lunalilo Home's own garden beds in our farm-to-kupuna program.
Our Meals to Go are currently Waimanalo to Kaimuki but we hope to expand in the near future.
Hale Ho'omalu
(Hale Hoomalu) Provides services to individuals who are experiencing domestic violence or threatened with same. Offers assistance in obtaining temporary restraining orders (TRO) and complying with related court appearances. Provides court advocacy and support. Offers protective services for families with abused or neglected children through the TRO process (if applicable). Provides psycho-educational groups (both court ordered and voluntary) to men who batter. Provides on-going support groups for victims of domestic violence.

Families who are accepted into our program can live at the National Home in a single family home for up to four years while working with a professional case worker to set goals and make plans for the future. Families also have access to educational, recreational and enrichment opportunities. Community resources and counseling referrals are provided as needed. Free state-certified daycare services are provided free of charge for children five and under.
