Scholarships are given as a reimbursement for the tuition of college-level courses in early childhood education, for Professional and Career Education for Early Childhood (PACE) classes taken if converted to college credits, or for direct assessment fees in obtaining a Child Development Association (CDA) certificate. (DV Services for Families, DVSF) The Survivor and Children Support Services, (SCSS), focuses on supporting personal healing with families involved in both child welfare and domestic violence. SCSS provides an array of services to help families understand the difference between unhealthy and healthy family dynamics, strengthen parenting skills to include, learning how to better empathize with children's emotions, and become empowered by the use of community referrals. The SCSS Program's goal is to ensure and promote survivor safety and independence, and to strengthen child resilience.

Maintains State Archives, responsible for capital-improvement projects, and monitors King Kamehameha Day celebration and State Foundation on Culture and the Arts programs. Also handles complaints for misuse of state vehicles.

(Domestic Violence Services for Families) When child abuse occurs in the home, violent behavior towards spouses and others is also often present. After a family is required to enter the child welfare system and is discovered to be experiencing other forms of domestic violence a care plan is developed for each family member. Services are then provided for both survivors (victims) and batterers (perpetrators) of violent behavior. Survivors create a safety plan and are offered various supportive services. Batterers are assessed and provided opportunities to learn alternative attitudes and behaviors. This program works with families involved in the child welfare system who are also experiencing domestic violence. Staff work with each family to assess for domestic violence and/or risk factors related to domestic violence. A care plan is developed for each family member. The services that are available for each family include: Domestic Violence Survivor Support and Pattern Changing Groups for Victims, Individual Counseling and Support for each family member, Trauma Focused – Cognitive Behavioral Therapy focusing on children, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Children’s Support Groups, and/or Adolescent Support Groups.
