(St Francis Adult Day Center) We provide a secure environment that is ideal for aging loved ones who cannot remain at home alone during the day, cannot perform all the activities of daily living but do not need 24/7 professional care, need social stimulation to prevent loneliness or depression, or need assistance with walking. Our adult day care programs offer a range of supervised activities in an uplifting, positive environment to enhance the quality of life for Hawaii’s seniors. Adult day care provides a way for seniors to remain at home as they age. They can enjoy the company of other seniors in a secure, nurturing environment. This allows family members to work during the day with peace of mind, knowing their loved one is in good hands. We provide intellectual stimulation, physical exercise, camaraderie with other seniors, and much more. (Act 278) Kuikahi Mediation Center has been contracted to administer the Eviction Mediation Pilot Program. This two-year pilot program requires early and free mediation between landlords and tenants before eviction for nonpayment of rent. The program runs February 5, 2026 - February 4, 2028. Tenants have 10 calendar days to respond to an eviction notice. If a tenant requests mediation in 10 day notice period, then the landlord must participate before filing for eviction. Mediation sessions are online via Zoom or in person, per request. For landlords, visit the website for more information and to submit a Landlord Intake Form to start the process. For tenants, call the Kuikahi Mediation Center for assistance.

Scholarships are given as a reimbursement for the tuition of college-level courses in early childhood education, for Professional and Career Education for Early Childhood (PACE) classes taken if converted to college credits, or for direct assessment fees in obtaining a Child Development Association (CDA) certificate. (SSG Fox SPGP) SSG Fox Suicide Prevention Grant Program (SSG Fox SPGP) is designed to assist service members, veterans and service-connected family members with resources through outreach, suicide prevention services, and connection to VA and community resources. A comprehensive range of services includes individualized, compassionate case management; assistance with transportation, shelter, and childcare; access to mental health and substance abuse treatment options; help with navigating healthcare choices; and housing placements services. Additionally, the SPGP offers financial literacy education, referrals for legal assistance, peer specialist support, and resource navigation.

(Ohana Finding) Family Finding is a process designed to identify, locate and engage family members of children and youth who are in foster care. Family Finding utilizes database case mining and internet searches to identify and locate family and other possible relatives. Individuals who are identified as possible relatives are verified via phone contact and/or letters, and names of confirmed family members are compiled onto maternal and paternal family lists. These lists are then submitted to Child Welfare Services (CWS), the GAL, and the EPIC Ohana Conference coordinator or the Ohana Connections specialist to assist them in engaging relatives to help care for, provide support for, or reconnect to the child in care. Provides a comprehensive recreational program in the community. Facilities include a multi-purpose building, a gymnasium, a swimming pool, tennis courts and outdoor basketball and volleyball courts, and a field. There are three program periods throughout the year: Fall, spring, and summer. Activities are geared for all ages, including classes in arts and crafts, Hawaiiana, games and sports, music and dance, seasonal activities and crafts, excursions and swimming. A list of activities, registration dates, and program period information is published in the Midweek prior to registration.
