(St Francis Hospice) Nationally accredited by The Joint Commission, St. Francis Hospice, the state’s first hospice program, provides compassionate care and comfort for terminally ill patients in their homes, in nursing homes, and at our inpatient facility in Nuuanu. We make each moment count, enhancing the quality of life for patients, and their families and friends. St. Francis Hospice also has one of the most advanced bereavement services programs, offering support groups, walks in shopping malls, and other activities for families who have lost a loved one. The Medical Reserve Corps in Hawaii is an all volunteer group with many different skill sets. The Hawaii MRC needs volunteers who have medical and non-medical backgrounds who want to serve their local communities during public health emergencies or large scale emergency response events.

Provides basic dental care for low income persons who are frail elderly or disabled who are Medicaid qualified (but not Medicare qualified).

Provides individual assessment and offers therapy to individuals, couples and families. Conducts group programs including combat trauma, significant others, substance abuse and others depending on needs of clients. Offers crisis assistance and educational/ employment counseling.

The Drivers Program provides a comprehensive evaluation to assess the ability to continue driving or return to driving. The evaluation process is meant to maintain safety for our clients and the community. For those who have sustained a new injury, illness or diagnosis, the Drivers Program assesses abilities to reintegrate into the community by maintaining or regaining driving independence. Additional components of the program include a behind-the-wheel assessment, adaptive equipment consultation and optional additional training sessions. We determine the readiness to drive with an on-site clinical evaluation that includes a comprehensive interview, as well as cognitive, vision and physical assessments with Driver Rehabilitation Specialists. A Behind-the-Wheel assessment is to be completed at the recommendation of the Driver Rehabilitation Specialist.

(SSO) Department of Education Seamless Summer Option (SSO) Program provides meals free of charge at participating public schools for children 1 year old - 18 years old June 9, 2026 - July 17, 2026. Children do not need to be enrolled in public school to participate. Schools will serve breakfast 7:15 am - 8:45 am and lunches from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm. There will be no meal service on the June 11, 2026 (Kamehameha Day) and July 3, 2026 (Independence Day observed) state holidays. All meals must be eaten on campus; no grab-and-go options are available. Children do not have to be enrolled at a participating school to be served, and meals will consist of solid foods. (Adult Program, Adult Group Homes - Hale Kukunaokala) Hale Naau Pono provides group homes for persons with serious mental illness. Group homes provide shared, safe, homelike environments where adults are assited with developing and maintaining skills of independent living (managing personal finances, daily living skills, social skills, medication adherence, compliance with medical, behavioral and legal orders, and coordinating services with the various providers on the team to support client success). Program Participants are assigned to a single or shared room (limit 2 beds per room). Houses are between 4 and 7 bedrooms and 5 to 8 beds. Program fees include room, electricity, water, internet, phone and basic cable and shared supplies like toilet paper, laundry detergent, hand soap, cleaning supplies. Homes are fully furnished and participants are expected to purchase their own food, medications, personal hygiene. Participants will work with program staff to establish personal goals, attend structured rehabilitation, education or work programs during the weekdays and perform common household chores.

(Drivers Licensing - Kona) Administers written and road tests for driver's license for automobiles, buses, mopeds, motorcycles, motorscooters, and trucks over 11,000 GVWR. Issues commercial driver's licenses and permits. Obtain State ID cards. Receives international and local driver's license inquiries. Receives Financial Responsibility SR-22 insurance forms for license suspensions by the court or through Administrative Revocation. Issues Hawaii State Identification Cards.

The Hawaii Council on Economic Education's (HCEE) mission is to increase the economic literacy of Hawaii's students, teachers and residents. HCEE implements its mission by promoting and improving the teaching of economic concepts in Hawaii's public and private schools through conducting teacher training programs and providing grade level K-12 appropriate teaching materials. Currently, it is not required that students in Hawaii complete a course in economics or personal finance prior to graduating from high school. This may not sound like it has negative consequences, however consider that students from states where a financial education course is required have the highest reported financial knowledge and are more likely to display positive financial behaviors. (CLAY, Ulu Pono Kids) Ulu Pono, translated as “To Thrive on a Righteous Path,” is our after-school children’s program. We’re passionate about seeing the kids of Hawaii reach their full potential and create a fun environment where learning, doing homework and growing in character are encouraged.

Operates on-line catalog listings of all materials available in the public library system. May access information at any library or through a personal microcomputer with communications software and a modem. Makes information for dial-in users available at all public libraries. (PPA) The Partnership for Prescription Assistance brings together America’s pharmaceutical companies, doctors, other health care providers, patient advocacy organizations and community groups to help qualifying patients who lack prescription coverage get the medicines they need through the public or private program that’s right for them. Its mission is to increase awareness of patient assistance programs and boost enrollment of those who are eligible. It is a service available by phone and web site that acts like a clearinghouse, checking all known discount or free services to try and meet prescription needs by eligible callers or web inquirers.
